Greetings Patrons,

This is the 4th installment of the Spire: RPG tracks that I've been working on. It's called Derelictus and, as it's name implies, it's a gritty, seedy place, full of darkness. From Grant Howitt's design brief:

Destitute. A run-down sump of a place, riddled with poverty and black magic, undercity home to the downtrodden dark elves. Re-purposed buildings, rebuilt and re-imagined into other things. Run-down churches, dark elf fruit markets, a town ruled by cannibals.

Characteristic sounds: Dripping, shuffling, people chatting, something growling in the distance, the muttering of dark cults. (Drow flutes and drums, perhaps, too?)

I didn't have one of Adrian Stone's excellent images on hand for this one, but I did have a map (a detail of which is the image in this post).

Like all my ambiences, these can be used for settings other than originally intended. This one, for instance would work very well in cyberpunk, dark fantasy or modern urban settings. Anywhere the dark underbelly of society might skulk.

More coming soon!

Thank you all so much for your continuing support of the site.

best,

Tim
