Hello everyone and thank you for being here!
Bringing you some fresh notes & mod changes today :)
---[RPO Collection] MOD UPDATED!! ---------------------------
Bug fixes and some new features. Update notes:
- added features to M15 & altered existing ones
- re-made parts of the adoption module
- fixed rename interaction that I broke recently
- fixed the ecography, which had decided to work only once in a while
- added a tooltip and such to some M13 interactions
- shortened some moodlet text from various mod(ule)s.
- made various changes in trying to address issues some people are having in old v2.8 saves, to no avail. This one is beyond logic.
- changed meet&mingle icon colors to be more distinctive from the social icon
- blocked npc surrogates from meet&mingle, since they can’t be romanced
- Made various test changes
- changed / fixed other small things that I don't remember.
Grab the mods all-in-one or separately as usual now, links on the index.
----[MOOD PACK] UPDATED!! ---------------
Mood pack got 2 new moods, on request.
---[Memory Panel] An update is underway ------------
With new possible memories and a little 'write life story' feature where you can type in whatever story you want for your Sim; initially suggested by someone who goes by the name of a breakfast food and will recognize himself in the default text in game ehe.
I'll write again when the update is out. Watch out for it this month.
----[Law&Disorder] YES I'm WORKING on it -------------
With all the trouble RPO has been giving me, it's not going fast.
I re-started to convert the system to a more memory-panel like format behind the scenes.
I'm working on getting Sims to react to certain actions and on that triggering the Sim's misbehavior record and consequences.

[RPO] On the matter of Possible Lag Issues when transitioning from RPO v2.8 to v2.9
I want to talk again about the 'results' of the investigations of the past days and weeks regarding this problem that some are encountering.
To clarify what we are talking about with this ‘abnormal lag’: on a non-gaming laptop with various packs installed etc, a lag of three quarters of a second would not be surprising and would count as normal, not abnormal.
What we are talking about here, is like very significantly longer than that (three seconds and up), especially in people for whom there were no issues before.
The FIRST thing to do if you have this problem is try in a new save and see how it behaves there.
That will tell you what group you fall into.
According to users’ reports, there are various variants of this problem happening. I will mention the main ones below:
Group 0 - has no issue whatsoever.
That is the case of my game and my main computer for example.
Group 1- has lag in old saves, not new, problem is resolved by a mod data reset.
This is the case that ‘makes sense’, ie, it would suggest that some mod data from previous versions needs to be cleared out, and playing in a household and then saving while the mod is NOT installed takes care of doing that. Therefore, it would be logical that after doing this, the problem would be gone.
Group 2a- has lag in old saves, not new, in old saves problem persists even after data reset if m8 is installed.
(Group 2b is the same as 2a but with m10 instead of 8. Group 2c, same but with m5.)
Group 2a, 2b and 2c ‘make no sense’. Playing a household without the mod installed in saving erases all the data left by the mod. This means that an old save after such a procedure should be the exact same as a new save. But for users of group 2, it is not.
Various tests have been performed regarding people of group 2, and the results have been astounding and not in a good way. I have brought it up to other modders who did not find any more rhyme or reason to it than I did. A possible tentative conclusion is that some invisible cacheing might be going on. If so, I assume it is not impossible that playing for a longer time without whichever module(s) is causing trouble might eventually clear that out and allow placing the modules back in without consequence for old saves. but honestly: I have NO clue.
Another solution, of course, would be to use these modules in new saves only.
Group 4- new user or old user in a new save, reporting problems
I’ve had hardly any detailed report for these groups, so at this point is still hard for me to tell much of anything about it - not even sure these people's setup are not just simply not capable of handling the largeness of the mod.
If Group 4 is your case, please come over to discord to share more info and hopefully help and be helped https://t.co/6YnFzQlQDs

Needless to say, this has been driving me crazy. It is completely discouraging and exhausting. I have only made changes that should improve the efficiency of the mod, not the opposite. The illogical nature of these issues (especially in cases where it’s fine new saves but not old ones after mod data reset) makes this extremely frustrating, for you and me both. But for now, this is what it is. I have tried and tried and tried, and I have no further solutions at this moment.
