Major updates for my Alternate take on the Fighter class. After some revisions and solid feedback from reddit:

Alternate Fighter (1.1.0)

  • Multiclassing / Proficiencies Gained - Removed heavy armor.
  • Fighting Style / Finesse Fighting - Increased bonus to hit to +2
  • Fighting Style / Two-Weapon Fighting - bonus action attack moved into the Attack action.
  • Fighting Style / Versatile Fighting - Added unarmed strike and shove to bonus action.
  • Know Your Enemy - Moved to 3rd level, can now be used as an action, targeting a creature once per day.
  • Ability Score Improvement - Added 6th level back in.
  • Action Surge / Moved back to 5th level.
  • Indomitable - Changed so its use is only expended when you turn a failure into a success (similar to the subclasses in TCoE).
  • Relentless - Now you regain 1 expended superiority die when you use Second Wind.
  • Arcane Knight / Optional Rule: Spellcasting ability - added this optional rule allowing you to change the arcane knight spell list out for the wizard’s, or switch your spellcasting modifier to Wisdom and use the cleric or druid spell list.
  • Arcane Knight / Arcane Smite - Force damage increased to two rolls of your superiority die.
  • Arcane Knight / Spell Strike - too powerful, removed.
  • Arcane Knight / Spell Guard - new maneuver. Parry, but for spell attacks.
  • Blade Master / Combat Mastery - you now learn two bonus maneuvers at this level.
  • Blade Master / Parry - Now adds a superiority die to your Armor Class.
  • Blade Master / Precision Attack - clarified the language to make sense.
  • Champion / Brutal Strike - additional damage increased to two rolls of your superiority die.
  • Commander / Inspiring Commands - Specified that you must spend a superiority die as part of the maneuver to grant the temporary hit points.
  • Guardian - new martial archetype!
  • Guerrilla - new martial archetype!
  • Marksman - new martial archetype!
  • Quartermaster - new martial archetype!
  • Spellshot - new martial archetype!
  • Alternate Archetypes - added modifications to play the Cavalier, Samurai, Psi Warrior, and Rune Knight with the Alternate Fighter.

A young human guard quietly slipped past his comrades out the back door of the armory where the townsfolk were hiding. A gang of bandits had come upon the village suddenly that morning, and their captain had issued a challenge. If a warrior from the town could best him in single combat, his gang of bandits would leave peacefully.
