Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season 1 episode 7 of Dr. Stone!!! Oh wow guys, we're getting to know folks in this new little village! It's amazing that there is a village, and it raises so many questions! We get to meet some new friends, including Chrome, who at first isn't impressing Senku with the whole sorcerer thing....but after we learn that sorcerer is just a layman's term for science, he gets on board! Now we have to make some antibiotics, let's go!!!!!!! Can't wait for more! Enjoy! ~ MH

It seems Kinro's VA is the one who voiced Veldora! And Ginro's is Hinata from Haikyuu.

To remind you, yes, we are in Japan as Yuzuriha noticed a really good view of Mt. Fuji recently plus the Buddha statue. So, new voice actors: Kinro (you looked him up): Squalo from JoJo, Sun from RWBY: Ice Queendom and Veldora from Slime. He is also the voice for the bartender in Death Parade, so that’s probably why you picked up on his sound so quickly. Ginro: Aki from Chainsaw Man, Kotetsu (the sword smith kid) from Demon Slayer, and the reason he sounds familiar most likely is Hinata from Haikyuu! Ruri: Methode from Frieren, Kanao from Demon Slayer “Do people ship Senku and Kohaku?” Well, I can’t speak for others but I SORT OF do… but it’s more of the following attitude: neither one of them are really too interested in pursuing relationships so it’s kind of like, you two are totally going to end up stuck with each other logic, as opposed to some more logical ship pairings. 🤣 Anyway that’s not what we are here for really, as Senku is quick to impress Kohaku who clearly has a bit of a headstrong attitude, so creating a vehicle that quickly has definitely, pardon the pun, got her wheels turning. It turns out she’s part of a village of about furry people who are living in a time period where the technology isn’t that different from oh, the Stone Age. And apparently there is a sorcerer in the village named Chrome, who tries all sorts of tricks (nice Apothecary Diaries shout out btw), that Senku sees right through, but he just had to go and challenge him to arithmetic. Meanwhile, Kohaku is trying to help her sister recover and has been lugging salt from the hot springs down to her every day, which is why she got so strong. She didn’t like being called a lioness until Senku said gorilla, lol. But the truth is, Senku is lacking in physical manpower (or woman power) and he’ll need some strong help to do what he needs before Tsukasa finds out. As for what’s going on with Taiju and Yuzuriha, let’s just say, we’re putting a pin in that for a bit. Denji’s busy trying to convince the guards he’s not dangerous, but I don’t know if spiking everyone’s hair will do the trick. Now if he could actually deliver on a antibiotic, however… Also look around at the villagers, and think about what you DON’T see as much as what you do. Just getting your wheels turning. :)

Hi Melissa, I'm glad it's finally Dr. Stone Time again. Was really looking forward to this Reaction as you finally got to meet my favorite character. Chrome. He's a lot like Taiju but he's more like Senko in thinking because he's really really smart even though he doesn't know much about science, he's off doing his own thing but I love that so much about him. His humor is also quite funny. I think his faces that he always makes are very hilarious. Didn't think Senku would find such auseful compatriot but it looks like they're totally hitting it off! Science is officially one step forward. Poor guy thought he'd beat Senku in Science (or Sorcery) and was obviously totally thrashed, xD. Kohaku, so far, is like a really lively and awesome character! Lol @ some of the hardcore facial expressions this episode though, and aplenty from her side too. Dat little 'lioness' and 'gorilla' moment was hilarious and her interactions with Senku is just the best, lowkey shipping them ! Kinro and Ginro are also two characters that I really grew to love, even though they are very strange. Kinro is more the stoic type who does everything according to his set rules and doesn't really understand fun. And Ginro, on the other hand, is really someone who doesn't take his work too seriously and is more the fun type. You've already noticed it a bit in the episode, but most of the people in the village are named after materials. Kinro and Ginro translate as Gold and Silver. That's why Kinro got a golden spear from Senko and Ginro wanted a silver one to match his name. But you'll find out later why they're all named like that.

I freaking love Chrome! The concept got even more interesting now that I got to know the newly introduced characters a bit more, especially Chrome. The whole instinctively curious and trying out new things is beautiful but also makes you think. I mean think about it, even to Chrome (the science guy he naturally is), didn’t exactly know to a tee what his creations were or why exactly the mechanisms he’s discovered work the way they do, he just experimented and discovered by trial and error like Senku said. Without the old world notions it would seem like complete sorcery. And it is but… I don’t know exactly what I’m trying to convey but just something about that is really fascinating to ponder. And the lesson of humanity not going down easy is very captivating. Also I just loved how he broke down when Senku finished exactly the old world of modern civilization and its technological advancements. For Chrome, that must hit especially hard because he’s already appreciative and grown very fond of his findings. So whoever or whatever caused the petrification must not sit well with him. The world Senku talks about is something he can only dream of living in. This series just got that much better. I’m really enjoying it!

Hey Leonie!!! YAY Chrome! He's got such an interesting way of approaching things and I love his humor too! LOL he seriously got thrashed didn't he! Kohaku was amazing here too, I love the faces!!! I can see why they're a ship!! Kinro and Ginro are fun so far too! I can't wait to know more about this whole naming convention too!!

Cool about the VAs!!! I think I see what you mean about Senku and Kohaku! Senku's still working on gathering all the man/woman power he needs, smart! I'm said we're not catching up with our other two for a while but I get it! Ooooh interesting, I'll have to see what I can pick out as missing in the village!

also funnily enough: in the English AND German Dub Ginro has the same VA as Izuku Midoriya xD And Kinro is voiced in the English Dub by the same VA as Tokoyami xD And Kohaku and Invisible Girl and Chrome and Inasa Yoarashi + Kaibara from Class B and Ruri and Tatami Nakagame from the other school (and her VA is now engaged or married to Bakugo's English VA, who also later voices another character here xD) Mina, Iida and Kaminari's English VAs also show up later xD
