Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to ep 8 of Kamen Rider Gavv!!! Wow guys, double chocolate time!!! They looked great fighting together didn't they?! I love that the comedy of errors keeps going! And I love the commitment to the Italian vibes on the villain's part, it's giving Jojo Part 5 :P I also really enjoyed Sachika's story here, I'm proud of our girl! She might be a Rider yet!!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Double chocolates are my fav. More please! 💗🍫 It’s so interesting seeing the entire trio interact together for the first time in this series. Both Shouma & Hanto unwittingly on the same wavelength in keeping Sachika away from looking up Granutes & Kamen Riders. 😂 If she ends up being the third rider, I highly doubt their efforts will succeed. Happy early birthday again!

So remember when I said when they should've sold two ZakuZaku Chip Slicer together instead of one? They should have done it for these chocolate guns, since the toy is double sided. One Chocolate, One White Chocolate. ...But that's not show accurate! >:T ...Not to mention with the material, they could have made the gun handle just a liiiiiiiittle longer. ...But then again, this is made for kid hands... not my big american adult hands. xD ...Also interesting that the White Chocolate finisher looks like Valen's finisher, at least when Gavv charges it up ..Speaking of finishers, just how much can Valen fire off before he uses up the Gochizo? ...What's that one Stomach's name... Lotta? Glotta? ...The Dommy "Mommy"? xD Personally, while I did think she looks fantastic... I wasn't really feeling her character since she was cruel and I know people would be flocking to her on their knees... At least until this episode(and a little bit of last episode). I love the way she carries herself in the fight. There's no complete sadistic cruelty, there's no like... absolute REVELING in the brutality/gore of the violence. I feel like other characters of her archetype would be insulting Hanto and be pissed if he were to dare touch him, but here she's just like: "Alright, let's see what you got!" It's like she's enjoying herself by playing a fighting game! Add the fact that the actress is doing this herself, and I just can't help but be impressed. ...But considering she DOES snap a lot of compressed humans, I'll just admire her actress. Speaking of actresses, I'm so glad they treated Sachika so right this episode, but damn was it heartbreaking to see her just barely holding her tears in before she could leave. Plus that kick-ass moment where she dumped the paint on the monster, if she doesn't become a rider I'll honestly be disappointed. Also, huh. The USBs the monsters use *ARE* different disguises. I'm going to add one little detail to my "Nylev is Suga" theory. ...Yes, you can tell a monster in disguise through the mouth on their belly. They can't hide it in their human disguise. ...Notice how the Stomachs seem to have a different 'mouth' or belt around their belly... What if THEIR modifications allow them to hide their mouths in disguise? ...If we have Suga showing his Stomach to 'prove' he's not a monster... I'm going to 99.99999999999% certain Nylev IS Suga. Edit: WAIT-HOLD THE F- ON, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?! I actually missed this moment when I first watched this episode, BUT THEY SHOWED SUGA'S STOMACH! I'm honestly quite surprised how pale it is, CONSIDERING IT'S A RED HERRING! ...Y'know, if I'm right. > x>; But y'know what? It's pretty sus as hell that they had a close-up shot. If not because the way they zoom in is meant to imply that this might be important to note later, it's definitely because of fanservice. ...BUT WHO SAYS IT CAN'T BE BOTH?! And I bet he's going to be so indifferent and nonchalant about the reveal too. He's going to be all like: "I don't get why you're so upset. I used you to get information for my research, but I also gave Hanto a way to fight the Granute. Win-Win, right?" Suga better prove me wrong, or prove my other theory about him was right in that he's secretly an undercover cop. Because I refuse to trust this guy again. ...I feel like there was another thing I was going to talk about this episode, but I can't remember...Edit: Oh. Right. Rest in Peace Chocodon #2, #3, #4, and #5 and rest in Piece Chocodon #3. Edit: I'll retract my treat suggestion...Though considering it's Halloween, perhaps just any would do. Even the Carb-friendly ones. o:

Hi Hime :) The gochizos next to the nendoroids of team RWBY are cute, just in case they release a gochizos cookies, avoid leaving it next to Ruby lol. I saw some pictures of this episode before it came out last week and I said like you, the person who takes care of Sachika's outfits is the best. Her final blue outfit, with her sweater and her long dress or skirt, just sublime. There was also the picture where Sachika takes a selfie with Gavv and Valen, people were speculating if it was from the episode or just the actress taking a selfie for herself, but people were also saying that what was funny is that both make sense. Speaking of "funny", the humor in this episode was also there and sprinkled just enough to not be indigestible (and yes, the references to food are intentional). Whether it's Shoma and Hanto simply sharing a brain cell again, Shoma "bad acting" when he reveals the granute, Shoma grabbing his hensin's gummies to be stealthy (that was cute too), Gavv appearing at the bottom of the door and getting up with the perfect sound effect, Gavv and Valen trying to escape from Sachika etc. So far the comedy aspect is working really well, even Jeebh and Shita unintentionally giving themselves away was pretty comical. Speaking of Stomach... Glotta... Yeah that fight scene against Valen, definitely raised the temperature and melted more than one chocolate lol. I also wonder how much gay panic it could have triggered in the female audience, Kenza who is a tokutuber and friends with Marcosatsu is an example in her reaction to the episode. But more seriously, we feel that the actress playing Glotta had a blast filming this scene and knows very well the image she gives off, however, the choreography and the pure "I'm badass and I know it" that comes out of it, simply the best. The choreography of the final fight with Gavv, Valen and the granute was also top notch. All of this was filmed months ago (April/May I think), so no they didn't have much feedback on the appearance of the chocolate balls and their effect on the walls lol, but it allowed them to have time to do things well and we thank them for that. Also, apparently they've already filmed up to episode 30, so yeah, way ahead of schedule, which also means they'll have time to polish it up nicely. Another thing I like about Gavv is that he doesn't waste time answering your questions. We were wondering if Shoma's mother could be alive, bam flashback of her getting killed, we were wondering if Shoma and the Stomachs were related, bam Jeebh and Shita appear and Shoma calls them ni-san and nee-chan. Some were wondering if Suga could be a granute? Hanto takes care of it and shows us that this is not the case. For those who like to theorize like me, it pull the rug out from under me a little, but it doesn't bother me, at least we don't spend twenty episodes with this question in mind ^^. And speaking of questions, another one is answered here. The granute from the previous episode and this one are the same, his human "disguise" is just a little different. Which means that granutes could appear multiple times by just changing their human appearance and it brings a new possibility. Anyway, yes, next episode on Halloween and what better than a series about snacks for that?

So quick reminder at the top: the signal that the episode is about to end and start the preview you’re attempting to avoid is: when the Gochizo starts hopping on the screen in the foreground from the right side towards the center. Now, speaking of Gochizos, I think Team RWBY took all of yours. I can SEE them back there. 👀 With the episode itself, there seems to be a hierarchy with the Stomach family (also I’m hearing them say Sto-MOCK, but it might just be their accent), with Lango in charge, Nyelv and Glotta as lieutenants, and Sheeta and Jeebh just got fired. Also I didn’t catch this until now, but the twins are a brother and sister, not two of the same gender. It appears their plan to keep Gavv’s whereabouts secret backfired as they spilled the beans on what they were hiding when Glotta was talking about Valen. Since they’re fired, I’ll take a page out of your philosophy book from Gotchard: any chance we might get them to turn? I think Suegetsu, the painter, saw what was happening to the other artist and got jealous, thinking he wasn’t measuring up - but it turns out the whole thing was a swindle for both of them. Also, you can make some pretty stupid calls when you’re upset, we’ve all done that. As for Sachika, she kind of resonates - she wants to be an assertive and helpful person but she can be a tad too eager, so how do you draw the line between doing what is needed and then going overboard? It’s a constant struggle. Speaking of struggle all three of them are not good at stealth, but this is Kamen Rider - did you see they were just kinda scrunched down when the Granute showed up? By the way it’s an Italian saying, not a JoJo reference. Arrevederci came first! :P I think you looked away so you missed this dialogue - but the thing that clued everyone in to the fact there were clones was the paint - when there wasn’t any they figured out Sachika had splashed the real one. I didn’t know you had to worry about your Henshin animation being too noisy, that’s a new one! Also, as fun as it would be to put Sachika in the loop I’m thinking it might be MORE fun if all three of them were trying to play off the other. You know, like a certain WAKU WAKU anime does. It would probably be funnier if this goes on for a while. Anyway, good luck with your diet. The health of the kid comes first, obviously. Next week: Lollipops?

I love the idea of two chocolates for a Gochizo!!! Haha yeah, that's tough when they're making things kid-sized and not collector sized!! That's a good question about Valen firing! HAHAHA I love how everyone is calling her Dommy Mommy now :P Yeah that's a good point, she doesn't come off as sadistic despite how she comes off at first. That's so cool that the actress is doing all the moves, I could tell! Sachika was awesome here right?! I love how she trashed that monster with the paint lol. OMG, that's actually a great theory about the Nylev/Suga thing!!!! It would be a huge twist if they showed his stomach only for there to be a way around it!!! Omg I can see the reveal going down that way too! It's really hard to trust him right?! RIP to all the poor Chocdons :( Yeah I can definitely get some carb-friendly treats for next time!!! I'd love to keep the treat tradition going if I can lol!

Oh cool, I'll try to get used to the signal! Hahahaha don't the Gochizos look so cute with Team RWBY back there :) I think that pronunciation has to do with them translating the word into Japanese pronunciation. That's kinda what I'm hoping, that we'll have an enemy of my enemy situation. Yeah, I get that about the stupid calls when someone's hurting, but it was still hard to see Sachika with that paint on her! I can see how it would be hard for her to balance! LOL stealth is not their thing :P The saying came first, but Jojo made it a reference :D Not changing my mind on this one! Oh yeah, I probably missed that initially about the paint, oh well, I got there eventually. Yeah who knew about the henshin noise! It's giving Spy x Family for sure lol!!! Thanks about my diet! I'm one big carb at this point so it's not easy, but it's just for a few more months! Then I'm hoping to bring back snack time to my videos!!

Hi Spadeas! :) I'm so glad you like the Gochizos with my RWBY babies!!! Hehe! They really don't mess around when it comes to cute outfits for the girls on these Rider shows. Remember how adorable Neon always looked?! Hahah the humor was very digestible, I agree! There were some great moments here for sure! Haha I totally get that about Glotta, I mean wow!!! I'll have to go look up Kenzu's reaction, I'm a fan of Marcosatsu so I'm surprised those reactions have never popped up in my feed! Hahaha yeah I guess they didn't have a lot of time to test the splatter thing with audiences lol, it's all good though! That's great news that they've filmed so much and are ahead of schedule! That's so true, they're not dragging out little mysteries this time around are they? Oh gotcha, I was trying to catch up with the Granutes being the same, glad I got there eventually! But yeah, the whole changing the human appearance thing is interesting right? Halloween and a snack-themed series, it was meant to be!!!

I just feel like they could've made it just a liiiittle bigger, I mean you've seen how flat they look in the show. xD I'm surprised everyone wasn't calling her that from the beginning. 🤣 I wonder if her actress have some experience in martial arts or something... She seems pretty cool. o: Someone should have handed Sachika a belt in that moment. >:T Make it a three-on-one curbstomp. ...Though do you think she needs surgery like Hanto did? Honestly, I feel like the indifference from Suga in his reveal would really twist the knife in their backs more than him taking sadistic or smug satisfaction in outsmarting them. It's going to be so bad for Hanto, but that drama is going to pretty damn juicy. The only way you can convince me that Suga is a human now is if he got compressed. ...As in I need to see the entire process on screen. If it even cuts away even ONE second before we see him get compressed, then that scene probably isn't what it seems. SOMEONE GET THIS BOOTLEG WONKA OUTTA HERE! ....Props to the actor though. xD Gotta love his offended: "AND you click your tongue at me?!" after Hanto checks. ...But let's think about that scene for a second too. Hanto's first reaction upon hearing about the weakness in the monster disguise was to check Suga. His mentor taught him well to be too trusting, and he(the mentor) was pretty suspect about Suga before as well... ...So is Bootleg Wonka going to show us he's sour THEN sweet, or is he just a pile of malic acid pretending to be sugar? ...Is this how Zenigata from Lupin the 3rd feels when he's hunting for Lupin? 😂Or is this a Pepe Silvia situation? ; n; The Chocodons are real eager to catch up to the Poppin' Gummy body count, and that one I'm not even going to bother to track because you KNOW it's going to be a high number. xD

Ok, ok, ok... I wish I could wait until tomorrow to tell you this theory, but I don't want to forget about it. ToT ...Sooooo remember the scene when Shouma's mom died? How the tongue that compressed her seemed to slide into view off-frame? Did we get a good look at who it belonged to? Because I have a theory. I mean, it seems like the compression is new tech, yes? How they used to resort to just straight up kidnapping? Well... Do the Stomach main family even need these mods for themselves? They're not the ones doing that kind of Grunt work, and their belts DO look different than the second mouths the Part-Timers have. ...So where did that tongue come from? Who does it belong to? I thought it might belong to another Stomach we have yet to met('cuz they'll show up in Act 2 or 3), but I'm thinking maybe it belongs to just a Part-Timer. Which brings me to this Theory: Shouma is going to confront the monster that compressed his mom(which led to her getting killed), and I bet that's when his final form debut will happen.

Shouma: Wahh Bakemono--- That's quite an Oscar acting LOL. Too monotone! Seeing Hanto this ep, I feel like he still have something to learn more in his career. Not that I could point it out, but compare to how Shoutaro have learn before his begin night (which has been shown in Fuuto Tantei manga), I feel like Shoutaro learning a lot of detective's skill even before he become W. There is an event that proven him to be a Lv. 1 expert right before the begin night happening, so I hope we could see Hanto improving his skill too. Well, I don't know if someone already tell you. But right after the previous 2 episode (the one which Valen has debut) was aired, the official released the information on his transformation item. Turned out that it work exactly like an Electrocute chair for the Gochizo. That's a bit too dark. Also, when we see Valen's detransform from Grotta's attack, it seems the Chocodon just become light particles and vanished, it's not even become the little angel. That's cruel somehow. Hope there's a better way. Somehow, I'm not really into it when Japanese Anime or Toku' character saying something like "Eat this!" It's sound normal in Thai, but not really for English translation. It might should be something like "Take this!" However, with Gavv's theme revolve around snacks, that's sound reasonable. Also, not only Arrivederci and Mamma Mia that triggered us laughter, but also Ciao. You know why? Because that's one of the Kamen Rider's super iconic and plot twisting villain's catchphrase. You might never see him really, except if you count when he appeared in Zi-O, which he never said one.
