Possible disruption of service looming! (Patreon)
Content
Thought I should let you fine folks know that this Patreon might—I should emphasize, might—face some interruptions in posting in the near future.
See, the main breaker on my house's electrical panel has been acting inexplicably flaky of late, and twice in three days has shut off power to half of the panel's electrical lines for hours at a time—without actually tripping any breakers in the process, which is odd indeed.
My area is getting socked with a series of snowstorms this week, so now is not exactly the most ideal time to schedule service appointments with electricians or, more to the point, the power company; thus, this recurring crap is likely going to be an issue for weeks to come.
Problem is, both my PCs are in rooms left without power when this partial outage recurs, so I can't set up Patreon posts very easily, if at all. (The Patreon app on my phone and tablet is fine for viewing posts or comments, but nearly useless for scheduling or setting up new content.)
Come to think of it, I should just bite the bullet and buy a modern-era laptop, which would grant me some flexibility on these matters. Not having traveled in three years (soon to be four), having a functional laptop hasn't been a priority for me, ever since my crappy MacBook Air (ouch) finally crapped out for good in 2020.
While the power's on, as it is right now (knock on wood), I'll try to set up and schedule posts in advance when I can, but my available worktime for such is mighty dang limited at the moment, between freelance gigs and real-world crap (such as partial power outages). I'm not sure if I'll be able to set up the usual end-of-month extra barrage of posts, as my buffer of drafts is currently pretty low.
Anyhoo, this might not be a problem on your end if I can work up a generous enough buffer of posts beforehand, but I thought I'd mention the possibility in case, say, the house's main breaker craps out entirely and I'm cut off from online access indefinitely.
Meanwhile, on the new "test bed" fantasy comic front, I'm (semi-)proud to say that the project now has a working title—well, sorta, as I can't decide on which order the title's nouns should be slotted. I'll announce that title either in a separate Designs Ahoy post further updating the project, or possibly in a poll querying you fine folks about which title version works best.
