So, following up on our previous post in this series, here are more of the complete Work Stages from a 2013 Scarlet Witch/ Domino story I wrote and drew for the Avengers/ X-Men team-up anthology A+X. (I'm a tad dubious about posting Marvel material here, so keep this stuff to yourselves, won't you?)

Anyhoo, this bygone project came to mind as I'm mulling formats and media for future projects, given that the workflow I used on this short story showed some degree of promise, though I soon abandoned the techniques used here.

Decided to bump the number of story pages to three (so the upcoming part 4 will wrap up this 10-page story) and to sequence the stages differently, as you can see in the gallery above.

Not much time for commentary on these puppies, though I do hope to address the "lost workflow opportunity" riff in the next, conclusive post. (This seems to be less popular content than most, judging by the lower than average number of "likes" on the previous installment, hence my wrapping up this feature more quickly than originally planned.)

One interesting bit to check out are the neat color variations that ace colorists Guru eFX offered on two of the pages. First off:

...then the more colorful variation, which helped to "pop" the virtual (and dead) Dominos in the background:

Better storytelling, and more colorful to boot! Same deal on the later page 7, with even more dead Dominos:

...once again depicted with more distinct colors:

...and that's it for this penultimate installment. However will our heroines prevail? You'll find out ere long, never fear!

NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: Well, something should be going up in the next M/W/F slot. Let's find out together, shall we?

Still love this story every time I see it!

On one hand, the 'real color' corpses are creepier. OTOH, the orange ones make it more clear which ones are visions. I'd have to flip a coin to way which is a better visual.
