Behold, barrel-scraped from the ol' Empowered Rough Sketches folder, here are a bunch of miscellaneous sketch sets featuring poses (mostly) intended for but not yet used in an actual Emp comic.

I say "(mostly)" because the first image...

...is, IIRC, an expanded version of a previously posted art req pitting poor Emp against the 70s Spider-Woman foe Gypsy Moth. For the final two images above, I grew bored with the original Marvel Gypsy Moth costume, and worked up something different for her with a bit of a Carnival-esque flair. (This iteration might actually be usable in Empowered, presumably with a different supranym.)

Next up, some pose roughs for another scene of Sexy Librarian Emp getting (once again?) telekinetically distressed:

The sketches above were semi-recent judging by the LIbrarian's thicc-ness, but not too recent due to her moderately larger head proportions, as opposed to the new set below, which were pose roughs intended for another of Emp's many "bedroom cosplay scenarios" that's probably not gonna make it into Empowered vol. 12:

(Don't think I've ever drawn Emp in anything remotely resembling a negligee before, by the way.)

The final two unused pose sets are definitely older, judging by Emp's relatively large head size in the roughs. First off is an unused rough which would've probably been a riff on the old King Kong "blonde sacrifice" scene:

And the final two sketches are a surprisingly finished-looking pair of pose roughs for some unused Empowered scene from earlier in the series, judging by the distinctively different figure proportions:

Anyhoo, just blew 45 g-d minutes of my precious morning shift on this post, so I hope you folks like it! And now, time to go wrap up Empowered vol. 12's "Brooding (if Generic) Asian Gangster Thugboy as a tribute to Boichi's manga Sun-Ken Rock" sequence before I head out to get the week's groceries.

TOMORROW ON THIS HERE PATREON: One last weekly post for October--but what will it be? Dunno!

LATER THIS WEEKEND ON THIS HERE PATREON: Bigger Spenders of the $10 & $20 tiers, stand by for your monthly Exclusive Bonus Post for October, which will likely consist of a bunch of Clip Studio Paint sketch sets based on your last few outstanding reqs. Brace yourselves for Domme Emp & Sub Ninjette, Capitan Orangutan Rivet, Amos Burton photoreffed, Ocelotina cosplaying Slayers' Naga the Serpent and more!

Your 45 minutes of sacrifice are indeed appreciated. Emp definitely looking like there's a good bit more junk in the trunk and hips in that first pair of images. Hurrah for a heroine who doesn't look like a stick figure! And yep, I am 100% convinced Emp and Thugboy get up to a probably embarrassing amount of bedroom cosplay these days, a fact Ninjette probably appreciates greatly on both of them.

I mean, if they involve Ninjette, there's the potential for Advanced Bedroom Cosplay given Ninjette's particular set of skills.

Strypgia

Which could lead to all sorts of fun art ideas to commission... Ofc, that's getting past the raging mess of insecurities and trauma that Ninjette has to deal with, thanks to her ever-so-lovely dad. Guy's managed to join the 'Great Parents Club' right along with Gendo Ikari, Shou Tucker, and Ragyo Kiryuin.

I also echo appreciation for your 45 minute sacrifice. The results were certainly... bountiful.

Hmmm. Gypsy Moth's powers were over fabric fibers (ignoring the upgrade she got from Satannish or whoever). I wonder what would happen if she tried to directly control the hypermembrane? Probably a massive headache at best.

Burninator

Now I can't help but think about what an actual Great Parents Club meeting with some of those guys would look like.

Thanks for sharing, Adam! With the new Emp sketches side-by-side with the older ones it's really amazing to see how much more depth and richness your current work has.

JKurt

Aw that bedroom cosplay would've been good! Emp looks great in negligee!

Aidenke

These are always a great laugh to see some of the fun takes and things Emp is dealing with. Lots of neat ideas, and Emp really DOES deserve that nice night at home after the last couple volumes....

Love the figure work in all these, great to see how your style changes.
