Here are the color draft stages for my character-packed cover for the recently released Empowered Omnibus vol.3, which compiles regular Empowered volumes 7-9 in honkin' big TPB form.  (Of course, this cover was originally done for the out-of-print Empowered Deluxe vol.3, which compiled the same material along with a whole lotta bonus material in a limited-edition hardcover collection.)

In order, the jpegs above go as follows:

*First-draft colors by the fine lads of Guru eFX, who have colored many projects for me over the years, including the Venom: The End one-shot semi-recently;

*A flagged correction guide marked up by me, presumably accompanied by an email explaining in more detail what I wanted changed;

*The final colors, incorporating those changes;

*Dark Horse Production's mock-up of the final Deluxe cover, with a placement of the PARENTAL ADVISORY sticker at lower left that I didn't care for;

*The corrected cover mock-up, with the sticker moved to avoid fully covering up the "Ayakami Badass Sundress Waif," as I dubbed the character from Empowered vol.7's ninja fest;

*and finally, the color drafts seen in our previous B&W Work Stages post, in case you wanted to compare and contrast 'em with the final colors.

Interestingly, I spotted another potential Work Stages post a-lurking in the Deluxe vol. 3 folder, so stand by for another installment next month, this time relating to the limited edition's bonus material.

NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: I'm gonna try to finish off October with a full week of posts, for the first time in a while. Golly! (Though, alas, you're gonna have to be at the higher Patron tiers to see 'em all.) Not yet sure what order they're gonna be in, howeva. Let's find out together, shall we?

I always love just how distinctly identifiable every character is just from even a small headshot. And Emp's growing confidence in her place in cape society definitely comes through from her pose.

It's crazy how specific you're being with the colors !!
