Hey y'all! So way back in January, I went on Instagram and asked people what their favorite part of the writing process was. I got a lot of very....interesting?....answers. (And y'all know I love interesting.)

So I figured I would corral all those options and ask you guys which was your favorite among them! I'm not quite sure if I should call these your favorite "little" part of writing or what, so if you have a suggestion for how to encapsulate all of these possibilities, I'd love to hear it bahaha.

(For what it's worth, I also received A LOT of "plotting/brainstorming," "drafting," "world-building" type answers, which I think will be fun to compare in a separate poll later!)

That said -- what is your favorite weird/little part of the writing process!? (And since there are so many options, please feel free to pick 2 or 3 instead of 1, if you just can't choose!)

I love a shinny new idea and have a number of characters and story ideas in a notebook that I look at and add to from time to time.

There is nothing more satisfying than re-writing a scene better. That moment when you read it again and it makes more sense? Unparalleled.
