UPDATE: Patreon is having a hard time attaching the game file to the post, so I've provided a Google Drive download link instead.

Installation & Launch Instructions:

The game (an html file) is available at this link.

To play, download the file to your desktop (or wherever you prefer), then open it with a browser of your choice (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.).

Once the game has launched, click on a highlighted text option (usually found near the end of each passage) to advance to the next passage until you reach one of the various endings. Hopefully it's all reasonably intuitive. ;)

Introductory Commentary:

One Night Adventure: The Tutor is the second installment of our One Night Adventure series of text-based games in which the choices you make on a fateful (fat-full?) evening weigh heavily on your future and the figures of certain females.  This time around, you play a fresh-faced history teacher tasked with tutoring Shelby Jackson, a gorgeous High School socialite with a sweet tooth and a taste for trouble.  Play things right, and you may just broaden more than her mind!

One Night Adventure: The Tutor weighs in at over 95,000 words (longer than most novels), features approximately 500 passages, and has nearly 1,000 links to explore. Since visuals are sometimes better than words, and without spoiling anything, here's a little peek at the basic map of how those hundreds of passages hang together.

Amidst all that there are dozens of endings and loads of random events and variables that will hopefully enhance replayability and add a semi-strategic layer to the game.   There’s even a save feature in case you find yourself going down a particularly pleasurable path!

The first few times you play, I suggest you play it straight.  I tried to craft a compelling story where your decisions have realistic reactions and consequences within the narrative and tried to limit moralizing and "wrong" answers that send you down a quick road to ruin.  Just be yourself and follow your instincts.  You may be surprised where you end up.

After that, feel free to experiment.  Play as a White Knight or a scoundrel.  We won't judge!  As in real life, there’s no single path to ultimate victory.  Heck, there is no ultimate victory at all--just lots and lots of obstacle-filled roads to navigate.  And while there are definitely subpar endings, some of the “losing” endings can be a lot of fun if you indulge your inner perv.  As a wise man (Clark Griswold) once said, “getting there is half the fun!”

The scope of the game is so vast that we may eventually publish a scavenger hunt-like crib sheet in order to help players find all the endings and illustrations.   Maybe we'll even come up with a prize for the first patron to meet all the objectives?  Until then, we hope you enjoy exploring the story and spending quality time with Shelby.  She’s a handful (in more ways than one)!

Best--

Maverick

PS: We’d very much like to hear your feedback.  Was there a particular passage you enjoyed?  Maybe a specific ending?  Also, even though our beta testers did a great job (thank you!), there may still be some undetected errors.  Please let us know if you find any significant typos or glitches.  (A screenshot shared via link or attachment works best.)
