So other than the fact that I think Mark looks utterly ridiculous with his beard (I think this will be the last time we see it), I'm very happy with how this came out. I think it has actual compostion, and I think I did a better job of the orange/blue balance than the last thing. Maybe you can tell, but I'm using orange and blue as my big starter colors right now, based on something I saw in a turtorial. They said that the color contrast of orange and blue is especially comprehensible to artists who struggle with color, so here we are.

This is my second (kinda third) attempt at a combining two Duke Sketch ideas. A black scaled gorgon and a silver dragon.

The context of the image is kinda up to you, the audience. A common trope of modern fantasy is of a collapsed empire, and that works well with dwarves. Maybe Mark here is exploring an old dwarven ruin for some magic weapons (maybe the fire ax he is holding), but he has to fight a couple monster-milfs to claim it. Like the last image, this is just a fun adventure image for my oldest and possibly silliest OC.

I'm super happy with that part of it actually. Pretending to be a dwarf or barbarian in my backyard was a big thing for me as a kid, and any inside space was always a cave or underground city.
