"Goals" Going Away (Patreon system change) (Patreon)

According to an e-mail I received today, Patreon is getting rid of the "goals" system in May. I believe this refers to what I still call milestones, which are things that happen based on total pledges from all patrons.

Naturally, I can still say "if X amount is pledged, Y will happen", but what I currently intend is this:

- EGSNP is scheduled Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. 

If I need a break from EGSNP, I will take it, but no indefinite hiatuses should happen. I'm talking one-two weeks between storylines if needed, or days off as required for other reasons.

This should be healthier for me, and result in fewer storylines that only exist because I had to come up with SOMETHING.

One of these breaks is likely at the end of the Who Is Ellen storyline.

- Each month, I'll owe an additional "Dan's Choice" color image or greyscale comic (in which it's whatever I want).

There will sometimes be polls associated with these open to all Patrons, but that will be the exception rather than the norm.

I can also make a color comic if I really want want to, BUT I'm taking into account my overall schedule, and I want greyscale as the norm if it's a comic.

- Each month, one new color image will be voted on by $5 tier patrons.

I'm going to start posting these polls a couple days before the end of the month, and have them close with the end of the month at Midnight West Coast USA time.

(The next poll will begin Wedsneday, March 29th, at Noon East Coast USA time)

Additional polls and surveys will potentially be available for $5 tier patrons, though these will all be related to end of month polls (helping choose which characters will be in them, the options, etc).

- Bonus color images / greyscale comics will be available a day early for $3-5 patrons (a day early being Thursdays).

These bonus images may or may not also be used as sketchbooks based on whether I want them there.

The goal will be one a week when able, and to anticipate when I'll need a week off from it.

- Additional surveys and polls for all patrons. These could be anything from me being curious about something, to helping decide on what EGSNP storyline to do next.

These will initially be limited to patrons so they'll be a perk of being a patron, and to limit the interference of bots and random people who aren't actually interested in the comic.

These surveys will usually become public after about a week, and polls will usually become public shortly after being closed. I'm saying "usually" to allow for potential exceptions, though I don't know what those would be.
