The burial location might become a holy site of rule 34.

fizzlefist

Meanwhile, somewhere in Texas...

SpryPunk

STALKER jokes? I am so down.

Andrew

I love that they still don’t know HOW he got the new body (or who’s it was, in my headcanon)

Lana Del Prey

Nobody tell her about fuckablesalvage.what

Lana Del Prey

I didn't want that to actually post a link, so if you click on it that's your own fault

Stormfalcon

Either STALKER or Fallout

Michael Boettger

I think Bubble's suggestion is pretty on point. I might suggest a mummiform case of stainless steel, surrounded by concrete. I wonder how big Steve's boat is? Deep water disposal might be an option as well.

Anonymous

IKR! In a way, I hope that mystery is NEVER solved.... but I suspect Jeph is playing the long game and we're gonna find out somewhere around strip 9,000.

Anonymous

Not great, not terrible.

Anonymous

Stalker, like Roadside Picnic?

Anonymous

They probably should have done that years ago

Anonymous

ohhh shit

Shawn K. Younkin

I would love that version of Stalker TBH... >.>

Yelling Bird

STONY RIVER QUARY IS LISTED AS A 9.6 DUMPSITE ON DITCHFORK, BUT IT'S AN 8.0 AT BEST!

Anonymous

I think Mike still lives in or near Boston, unless I'm forgetting something.

BobC

Why is everyone surprised, but not totally freaked out? Is Pintsize's new body emitting depressants or something? Or are they merely waiting for the other shoe to drop (and go boom)?

Anonymous

Shouldn't Bubbles be saying it is of grave importance instead of important?

Anonymous

Nope, she said "import," which is a synonym for "importance."

Anonymous

Even Chernobyl is starting to leak.

Ace of Hearts

you need sand and boron to bury it.

Andrew

Maybe they can go terminator on it, using thermite or a steel foundry.

Anonymous

I love how easy it is to tell who reads S*P and who doesn't from these comments.

Leak

So... now all we need to do is crowdfund the sarcophagus on DitchStarter?

Bagge

Faye, always so nostalgic

Anonymous

I’m not sure who paid for the old chassis (Marten or Pintsize), but it seems odd that Faye is claiming “finders keepers” with any second hand value going to her.

Chris Crowther

Now I just have Kraftwerk in my head.

Leak

Same, but with more Atom(TM): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGnFF5w5sro&t=692s

Rémi Beaulieu-Dubé

well she did say "we". I'm assuming there's a split somewhere between her expertise and his ownership

Anonymous

Military grade Li'l FuckBuddy.

Bonnie Doolittle

https://somethingpositive.net/comic/pintsized-recycling/ Just if for some reason people don't read something positive.

MiqoRems

I love the phrasing of it as "acquired" a humanoid body. It's the perfect amount of ambiguity.

Some Ed

Technically, it's the exact right amount. As far as we know, Marten and Bubbles know as little as we do about how it was accomplished.

Anonymous

Nah, Marten - *ritual* fires are Dora's thing.

Anonymous

WOW that was a hell of a callback. That was 4,481 pages ago you absolute mad-person!

Anonymous

Nah, the fact that his rig is military grade (- a term that causes any of us who've actually worked with military equipment to both laugh and shudder ... I'm an old fart. My first M-16 issued to me had Mattel stamped on the handgrip. -) has been brought up within the last week. Remember how he commented that his new rig would most likely not survive a FAYE-RAGE as well has his old rig would?

Don't forget the epitaph, Bubbles! Something along the lines of "This place is not a place of honor... no highly esteemed deed is commemorated here... nothing valued is here. What is here was dangerous and repulsive to us. The danger is in a particular location... of a particular size and shape, and below us. The danger is still present, in your time, as it was in ours. This place is best shunned and left uninhabited."
