If it is Melon, that would suggest some mimetic link to the idea of having labels instead of actual visual representations of objects/aspects. It would be hilarious if Melon was Roko's kid sibling (although how AIs delineate familial relationships is anybody's guess).

FWIW, I suspect that 'form follows function'. Some robots are fully-functional, if you will, if their chassis' intended function requires it. Others may have had 'optional extras' included but, as a whole, I don't think it's standard equipment.
