Hey nudies! Check out what we got in store today!

So now that we're utilizing Bear's super sexy 3D models as visual novel-style portraits, we realized that we could put Sweez's amazing art skills to work in a brand new way - namely, in our cutscene direction!

We came up with something we're calling "insert panels". I'm sure there's a more official word for them, but we didn't have time to look it up! But essentially, because MNL already draws so much inspiration from our comic work, it only made sense to utilize actual comic panels to highlight various actions and reactions.

Take for instance, the all-too-important Amber undressing sequence! When we were utilizing pure 3D and camera work as we were back in Unity, there wasn't a whole lot of actual undressing we could show. It's incredibly difficult to portray clothes coming off a body in video games, and we're not exactly Naughty Dog here. You may remember that we previously only had a couple "undressing" animations we could show, but otherwise had to cut away and just show clothes being dropped on the floor. Well, now with these insert panels, we can show much, MUCH more of Amber getting her clothes off, piece by piece! The panels will be accompanied by sound effects and little extra effects like shaking and sliding, to give it an animated comic book feel! It's not quite implemented in the game yet, as Invertex has to do a little more building to accommodate for it. But we should have it in-game soon! Until then, enjoy the panels Sweez has drawn so far! I love the very last one~

Bear's also been hard at work on just ONE MORE Amber model upgrade, and I swear it's the last (for now)! We realized we needed to tweak some elements to accommodate the new visual changes - the sketchy outline shader we've implemented really highlights the low-poly count of Amber's boobs, for example. We opted to go for a full body rework, and boy I LOVE what Bear's done here.

Amber's much more fuller now, more accurate to how both Sweez and Leslie draw her. Her breasts have a more realistic weight and sag to them (highly requested!), her legs are thicker, and has modeled on features like her belly button, back, and a BUTT HOLE. Hell, the whole crotch area in general is much more detailed. But you'll have to see all that later!

Not much else to show this week, though! It's all been back-end stuff. While Invertex has been plugging away building the insert panel code and importing all our models and animations, I've been reformatting the script to work with Godot's dialogue system. Teamwork, baby! Unlike in Unity where it basically HAD to be Invertex working solo due to its complexity, Godot is simple enough that I can help out with stuff like this. It's still much simpler stuff compared to what Invertex can do, but it's helpful nonetheless! I feel a lot better knowing I can chip in more than just barking orders and writing lewd words.

Happy to hear the change from Unity has had an overall positive impact on you guys, or at least it sounds that way. Was worried about complications with the change over. More than happy to see you guys are still hanging in there! Love the new panels btw, who new a character stripping naked could look cute?
