NEW INSTALLATIONS INSTRUCTIONS, PLEASE READ ALL THE POST CAREFULLY

Hi everybody, I hope everyone had a good Halloween.

This month there will be another beta test of the Desadly Silence costumes fo Resident Evil Remake, the models still have rigging problems but now thanks to the new pc I can work  much more faster and I can test the animations on 3d max instead of having to test them in game. Hopefully it will be the last test before release.

I'm also planning on releasing the classic item pack for RE3R this month, kinda got the hang of RE engine modding workflow so next test will probably be the retro characters for RE7.

Also while working on the new lighting for the game boy mod came out with the idea of making a anime conversion for RE 1 and ended up making a quick test, liked the idea so I will put it on the list of big mods for after I finish the GB mod

Now news on the Game Boy Mod: thanks to Gemini's help realised that I was packing wrongly my mods so now you dont need to unpack the .7z, just put it in the game folder and thats all! (well you need to extract the movie folder if dont have it yet but I will explain it better in the installation section).

I also was able to extract the sprites from the original prototype rom.
Jill voxel 3d model was hell, it had to much polys so I had to go back to the original waist part to make ir work for now but I'm still workig on it. For the next build I want to have Rebecca (you can see her in the image below) the zombies and maybe Barry, ready.
I also got all the items sprites so I will probably remade some of the item icons and voxel models now that I have better sources.

The new flat lighting is almost done, just the lab is missing, I wanted to get all of them ready for this build but it takes some time to edit every single room plus you have to make every room twice (one for Jill an one fore Chris). All of the rooms will be ready for the next month build.

Whats new?

  • - New icons for the weapons and items some adapted from the original icons, some  extracted from the original GB rom.
  • - New inventory models, made in voxel style based on the new icons.
  • - New Jill player model made in voxel style based on the original game boy sprites.
  • - New flat lighting on all the rooms on the sencond floor of the mansion, the courtyard, the caves  and the guardhouse. 

As always you will need the Mediakite Release of Resident Evil for PC and the Classic REbirth patch for the Game Boy conversion mod to work.

Installation:

- Download the .7z file from the link I sent.

- Put the .7z file in the game folder next to the game executable and the Classic Rebirth patch.

- Make sure to back up your original MOVIE folder, then open the .7z file and extract only the MOVIE folder to the game folder. When its done close the .7z .

- Run the game and select the mod from the mod list like in the picture. 

- I recommend playing the game using the retro mode of Classic REbirth for a fully pixelated experience and turn off texture filtering (I always forget to mention that).
