The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 15/February/2019 (Patreon)

This week was another good week! Finished the playthrough and checks for N’s scenes on Monday, and now I’m a good way into F’s!

F’s scenes are coming along well. Already had a bit of fun in the car before they’ve even made it to the carnival, lol. 

One of the major joys of writing interactive fiction is getting to indulge in writing all these different scenes. Sure, it’s exhausting and intensely time consuming when you have to write like 6 versions of the same chapter :D But it’s also so amazing and exciting to be able to explore routes that would be cut off in a linear novel!

Each LI handles the carnival so differently, and the things they do there as well as how they deal with being on this ‘date’ with the MC. It’s great fun being able to write those out and take this same setting and find out how completely different it can be when you just add new characters!

Same with the MC. Their choices and personality comments add so much more interest to writing the scene when you have these options open to you as a creator!

Yeah, so as you might be able to tell I’m super enjoying it, hehehe! :D

Farah presses the radio on her coat collar. "We only just got here. You expecting us to have taken the place down by now?"

"Sorry," Nat says. "I just don't like you two being alone without us close by."

Farah smiles at me. "I do."
