**GHASTLY HEADPHONE WARNINGS**  

Grimmer is SUCH a fascinating character and a surprisingly terrifying interrogator, but this case with "Mr. Petrov" becomes so much more than I anticipated going into this episode!  

This episode proves we can't judge people from their past actions, or by the "covers" presented to us...and that the mystery and lore of this series is by NO MEANS finished surprising us and getting crazier!

Isn’t it kinda crazy that Grimmer has only been here for 2 episodes so far and it feels like he’s always been apart of the main cast. Every time I rewatch this series, reread the manga or just when I think about the series, I genuinely am shocked that he doesn’t appear untill over the half way point. It almost feels like a part is missing in the first half without him. Urasawa has always been an expert at creating side characters that deserve their own mangas and Grimmer for me is the best example of that.

I was NOT expecting such a compelling character that I instantly wanted to obsess over to show up at the HALFWAY mark of a series, but it's insane and YES -- it does feel already in 2 episodes like he's been here the whole time! He has THAT much presence! I may be in love! :P I give the mangaka such props for the character work they do -- there's not many flat characters in this series, and with an ensemble this big, that's saying something. I can't wait to see where his character goes from here, but it's Monster, so of course -- I'm a little nervous! :) Thanks for the comment!
