**UNBOXING HEADPHONE WARNINGS**

This second set of shorts for Link Click were SO FUN -- the new OP is a bop and the donghua team did NOT have to go that hard on it, and we get more intrigue with a livestream with creepiness and focus on Cheng learning martial arts!

Surely nothing from these shorts will tie into Season 2...right? @_@

The new op is so funny and fun! i LOVE how the team is pretty much spoofing their own show LMAO They weren't expecting the shorts to be as popular as they became, they were originally just for OVA filler while the second season was being made but Link Click really took off in China, they even have themed cafes and collaborated with big name brands on animated advertisements (which are pretty funny lol). I entirely blotted the fact that they're called "Lucas" and "Charles" to some LMAOO I don't know why but Charles is just so funny because it does not match Cheng AT ALL. That reminds me, IDK if anyone has let you know, But "Light-Time" Studio aka their photo studio is a mish-mash of Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi's name. Guang meaning "Light/brilliance" and Xiaoshi meaning "Hour/Time". Seeing Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi interact reminds me why I love them together so much, their ray of sunshine x grumpy tsundere dynamic is so adorable and precious to me. The fact that Lu really worries about Cheng a lot and cares about him so much but blushes and gets embarrassed when it's pointed out makes me so happy - to even go as far to take the fall for breaking Qiao Ling's limited edition cups LMAO I also love Qiao Ling of course, she keeps cheng in line (but also cares for him) hehe You're totally right about them setting up Cheng to be athletic, on the country to Lu Guang who is not very confrontational like that at all. ALSO I LOVE LOVE how they animate body language for the three of them, esp in the live stream ep, every time I watch it I notice new cute little movements they make. Like on rewatch this time I noticed while Matchless Beauty Qiao Ling was talking about hairstyles, Cheng was imagining which one for Lu before getting caught by Lu LMAO.

that last part in the violin episode basically says, I cried on my last violin lesson, my teacher comforted me, saying we could talk via WeChat. And then she wrote something on my music score, but when I got home that score went missing and was never found.Link Click team maybe received an e-mail from a girl talking about her regrets and they wrote that missing line for her to make up for that. That's really sweet!!! In the martial art part i get a feeling that QiaoLing's gonna be the strongest of them 3,and we've already seen she fight in the trailer. Our QiaoQiao's gonna be JOJO XD. the live stream episode is worth further discussion.there were lots of interesting comments went by really fast.My favorite 3 are,why cheng and lu went abroad in s1,was Lu born with white hair, and how did they discover their abilities. The comments keep bringing them up.Those may be answered in s2! Also, cheng says Qiao is the boss behind the scene. i couldn't help thinking it means more and it's a foreshadowing, curious!!

I love how popular Link Click is -- it definitely deserves it and I hope it keeps getting more international acclaim as well; the fact that it's on CR should help it with season 2! Ooh, thank you for the info on "Light-Time" studio! That's PERFECT! And interesting about their names and how it coordinates with the abilities...I'll have to bring that up with the new season! And yesss, I love their dynamic SO much! And yes, Lu actually cares about Cheng, but doesn't want to admit it! And yes, Ling has to help run the circus and keep them all in line! And I need to go back and re-watch the livestream episode to see those little gestures! That's so cute, though! Thank you so much for the kind words and comment! <3

Oh WOW -- that is so cool that they took a fan letter and made it into a short! That is very sweet, indeed! And yessss, Ling being a fighter like Cheng too is interesting! I have a sad feeling they may need those abilities this season! T-T Ooohhhhh, all of those questions and the note about Ling I'll have to bring up when we start Link Click season 2 -- I hope that either the second season OR the live action prequel series answers those questions. It's crazy to think we have these characters with special abilities that WEREN'T truly explained in the first season. @_@ I'm SO excited! Thank you for the comment!

Anime Annie

The English names are definitely like they're trying to be like a Netflix adaptation. Strangely enough for some manhua I've read the official English translation does the same. But I don't think I've ever come across the same for anime, manga, or manhwa (except for some Netflix adaptations of anime/manga). And you'd think with the official subtitles using their Chinese names that for marketing purposes it would be better to keep those names. That OP did not have to be as amazing as it is for a chibi series like this! It's amazing. Of the chibi series I've seen they either go the parody route (Attack on Junior High) or the cutesy route (MDZSQ). This with the mix up of their actual looks and chibi forms was so good! Also love how it ends that it's all three doing the movements as a cool link to Season 1's OP with Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang being like Yin and Yang. So much of that first episode taken out of context could give us a completely different script ("your ass is big", "the bed board makes loud noises"). But Lu Guang actually being concerned for Cheng Xiaoshi is too adorable. Chibi series really giving Lu Guang (and us viewers) flashbacks to that evil end of Season 1. That first martial arts episode, honestly when the teacher had them try to fight each other it immediately made me think of the mysterious person that took control of Qiao Ling and left Lu Guang more defenceless/less on-guard around her. And for it to end with Cheng Xiaoshi against Qiao Ling is definitely like the trailer. Especially considering Lu Guang isn't involved in the fighting. I imagine for the animal part of that episode the cat Lu Guang is reading through a script for Season 2. That "No, no, no" was just too adorable! It's also cute that Cheng Xiaoshi knows what all Qiao Ling's favourite foods are. The animal skit at the end of that short made me think of the game "What time is it Mr Wolf?" But the way they look after her is the cutest. I'd love to be able to play violin too, sadly I do not have great dual hand co-ordination. Not so bad with something like a piano/keyboard or a flute, but stringed instruments that require strumming or movement of a bow as well as fingering the right chords is probably beyond me. The music was epic though for this little short. Honestly nearly gave me Sawano Hiroyuki (Attack on Titan's composer) vibes. I also love that the music teacher's creation was left unfinished so that her student could be the one to finish the composition. The poor dog thinking the Roomba is stealing his food was adorable. I used to be pretty flexible and could do the splits. I still am somewhat flexible but my pains don't let me do most gymnastic-style moves I used to be able to do. I love Cheng Xiaoshi being flexible; it definitely fits with the more active/physical side he showed in Season 1 (whilst Lu Guang showed more of an intelligent side). But yes just two bros doing gymnastics until one bro hurts the other's middle leg. That long-suffering sigh of a teacher at the end of their wits was hilarious. It's pretty awesome too that this episode ends with all three men being injured, leaving Qiao Ling the champion. Hopefully that isn't foreshadowing to the mystery person controlling Qiao Ling and destroying them all. Really gotta punch us right in the familial feels with at least one of these shorts. So evil of them! These shorts really make you more excited for Season 2 (but also make you slightly dread what might be to come).

Not the english names. XD They really don't have the hardest names and they still did that? They really did go all out with the Opening. That was so beautiful animated. The foreshadowing in this is really good. Damn, the violim one was unnecessarily sad. I wasn't prepared. I really missed these characters and how they interact with eachother.

romaniablack

I honestly have missed these characters, too! The OP did NOT have to go that hard, but I'm here for it, and why is this chibi series making me sad and scared, hahaha?! Insanity! I can't wait for the new season, though -- and without Lucas and Charles, haha!! :D Thank you for the comment! :)

The cursed Netflix adaptation – hopefully, One Piece breaks that curse! I love how hard the OP went animation-wise – it looks SO GOOD! I love how THIS chibi series decides to go cutesy with a side of ABSOLUTE TERROR. Hahaha! Lu caring for Cheng in his own way is so cute, but it’s making me so much more nervous for season 2 – why we doing this, show?! And YES, Cheng vs. Ling was making me think of the trailer! I’ve never heard of that Wolf game, but it does sound cute! I sadly did not take music classes past jr. high so I can’t read or play any musical instruments; my brother took private saxophone lessons a few years, though. That’s cool that you could do the splits! I’ve never been too flexible, but yeah…nothing to see here, just bros being bros. I also know that long-suffering sigh all too well, hahahaha! There’s so much potential dread and possible foreshadowing and this show knows EXACTLY what it’s doing! VERY evil of them! I can’t wait, though; we can all suffer together! Thank you for the kind words and comment!
