Now that we've made it to this point and we know Roberto's been tailing Tenma, that gives a pretty mundane explanation of how Johann was able to know Tenma was trying to kill him and was able to look straight at him whenever he was under his sniper sight. All he had to do was look at Roberto standing right behind Tenma and Tenma would be none the wiser. Just like Johann was able to brush off 'Red Hindenburg's' threats because he knew Roberto was right there behind her. Tenma's threat was just as empty for the same reason, They both thought they were a threat to Johann and both were unaware of the threat behind them.

Oooohhhhhh, I hadn't thought about this as being the "realistic" explanation of how Johan knows that Tenma is following him -- that's GENIUS. We were joking in the discord about how did Tenma not hear Roberto, but, with Tenma being SO hyper-focused on Johan, he got lost in the moment and easily may not have noticed Roberto behind him -- it's literally a miracle Roberto didn't shoot him there and then, honestly. I love this point and will definitely bring it up in a future reaction - thank you for the comment!
