Please excuse me, while I pick me jaw up off the FLOOR! Fujimoto asks: "Since we've already gone 0 to 60, why not push the pedal to the floor and go 120?" as this episode goes beat after beat to top itself and the most TAME part was Denji vs. the Blade/Katana Devil! Insanity?!  

There's lots of crazy theories to talk about, lots of madness to break down, but I just hope that everyone who gave Kobeni a hard time? I hope they're eating those words now. Rule of....9, now? LET'S GO!

Makima & Light Sitting in a tree K-I-L-L-I-N-G Sorry, I've got nothing better to add, this episode was wild. Makima was unnerving before, she's terrifying now, literal death from above.

Thanks so much for the comment but I stopped reading after you said Makima and Sawatari have similarities because these are spoilers to me -- I don't want to know any hints or clues about characters until we experience them in the show. Thanks!

Thank you for the comment! Yeah, Makima is DEFINITELY unnerving in this episode and her and Light as a couple? I've never thought of Light as heterosexual until this VERY moment, but if any woman could be with him...it might be her.

We know the one he really loves is himself, and so far Makima strikes me as a genderbent version of him if we didn't get the benefit of seeing his thoughts, she acts all so polite and perfect, has Denji wraped around her little finger, just like Misa to Light, even Aki, sort of works as Makima's Kiyomi.

What are their suits made of?? Like Denji got sliced while Aki survived with a potentially fatal wound xD And Makima‘s Devil contract is terrifying, at least she didn’t sacrifice innocent people but I‘m really excited where this season goes, I mean we have like 3 episodes left T-T

Ok, I'm outing myself as a bleeding heart liberal here but, if you're a criminal and got a life sentence, doesn't really give somebody else the right to come in change the sentence that's already been dealt to you and instead take your life. They might not have been good people, but in this context they were still innocents dragged into a fight between two camps. Doing something like this for the greater good might be something I could be convinced is necessary in some cases, but at this moment I absolutely don't think that's Makima's deal.

Oh yeah completely, I‘m sorry if I it came across wrong, I don’t think criminals should be dragged into this, but because it’s fiction I just meant she didn’t pick like children or random people on the street, it’s still shows something about her character/personality I think? Like the characterization of Makima would be different if she picked people on the street ^^

Right?! What ARE those suits made of!? And I wonder (I'll probably bring it up in Episode 10) if the reason she chose convicts was 1.) because their deaths wouldn't stir up public attention because they were already on death row and 2.) if there's a connection between the fear or negative energy associated with them and how effective they are for her to use? Maybe it has a connection to her wanting to make the Chainsaw devil feared even more, so she can eventually use Denji to kill the Gun Devil? I guess we'll see, but that's an interesting question to ask!

That is true -- Makima having Denji and Aki attached to her DOES have that Light/Misa complex feel to it!
