That chapter when Kyo-ga sees Tae-jun’s new progress makes me just love Tae-jun even more. He’s grown so much. I also love the fire tribe brothers, they really care deeply about each other and their tribe. They’re not just conceited rich nobles, they have personalities and complex characters. The little Hak and Yona date—oh, chefs kisses. Their relationship building isn’t just romantic, it’s more than that. They’re friends, family, trusted partners, etc. Their relationship runs deeper than the surface level. Sure, I want them to get together ASAP, but I’m glad that it’s not taking proper care and time to develop their relationship. But oh, Soo-won. He’s such a complex boy. Every time we see flashbacks with him and Hak, and then we see them as they are in the present time. My heart hurts, gahhhhhh. I love that Kusanagi didn’t just make Soo-won be that “mwhahahaha, I’m an evil villain” sort of antagonist. He has layers to him, but you can’t really fault him for his actions. And we all can’t deny he’s doing good. One more thing, I just gotta announce one of my fav rare pair of the series: Zeno x Yoon. All because of the small scene in this volume where Yoon defends Zeno bc Zeno protected him in the battle. Idk why, but that just planted the seed for me. After that scene, I just see them paired up together a lot, and I gobble that shit up. The ball of sunshine and a tsundere pretty boy, gotta love it.

YES! I love how much growth our boy Tae-Jun has received! ^^ And that the Fire Tribe are really closer and have complex relationships with one another. Speaking of complex, YES, Soo-won is soooo layered and my heart hurts for him...he's doing the best he can for his kingdom, but the sacrifices he's made and the effect on Yona and Hak...T_T #alltheangst And AHHH, YES, Hak and Yona's relationship isn't a surface-level romance, oh no. I definitely want them to be end game, but it is a "hurts so good" feeling to see them slowly, albeit painstakingly at times, develop this rich relationship with one another that isn't just on a physical level. It's great! And AWWW! YES! That moment when Yun sticks up for Zeno was SO sweet! Oohhh, I can DEFINITELY get on board with that rare pair! Now, I'm goin to have to keep an eye out for them! Of course Soo-won and Hak raised a falcon together. Not like we have enough pain with them already. There is so much I could talk about when it comes to these two and their emotions. I don't believe Yona will ever truly forgive Soo-won but I'm sure she will understand why he did what he did. This volume Yona learned that she and Soo-won have the same goal. And this is for sure a big step forward when it comes to their relationship. Evn though Yona and Soo-won aren't working together, they kinda do. It's so interesting. What I really like in this series is that all these characters ,despite doing horrible things, have people they love and care about. It's sad that Su-jin never got to see what amazing things Tae-jun is accomplishing right now. How much he has grown since the last time he saw his youngest son. And Soo-won, oh boy. I'm not sure if I said this before but he's not only my favourite character in this series but my favourite character overall. He's so complex and does good and I love to see "antagonist's" like that. I feel like this comment is complete chaos but oh well. XD Wish you a wonderful day!!

SERIOUSLY! #couplegoals Hahahaha, that just adds to the pain of these two! I do agree that she won't be able to forgive Soo-won for killing her father, but it is refreshing that she realizes that he's trying to help the kingdom just like she is. It's definitely a step forward and is super interesting. And then you have Hak, who isn't there yet, so it's going to be neat to see if Yona has conversations with Hak about Soo-won in the future; it would be an interesting reversal from him tip-toeing talking about him around her, for HER to reach out to Hak about Soo-won, now. Yes, everyone has someone they care for and it helps to complicate the characters and make them feel more REAL. Ohhhh, now I feel so much sadder, haha, knowing Su-jin never got to see Tae-jun's growth. At least Kyo-ga does. And ahhhhh, Soo-won is getting SO MUCH MORE INTERESTING.
