"Original" William is very creepy.

When I tell you I’ve waited three weeks for you to see this episode! They might not be blood brothers, but they are “Blood Brothers”. I really recommend reading the manga for this show after. Especially this chapter. Albert’s mother was so much worse. She actually tells William to put the silverware in their room. And not only her the entire estate treated the boys horribly so you really don’t feel bad when they all die in the fire. Out of all the deaths in this show. These felt the most satisfying in my opinion.

Okay, family crest has "I believe in myself" in French. But the most interesting thing about it is the three spiders on it. Spiders represent patience, wisdom, illusion, balance, and interconnection - and there's three of them, for the three brothers. I noticed that first about the crest due to my interest in spiders. "I didn't expect Albert to stab him" In the manga, he didn't. He was a little busy strangling his mother with a tie while our William was stabbing OG William. Lady Moriarty was a lot more involved in the manga. She and OG William went to plant the silverwear together, and would cane our William until he was injured. "It'll only take two months for these wounds to heal" was what he said about those injuries. Our William would even call her mother, and he'd get slapped for that. It is also confirmed that Lord Moriarty was having an affair during this time as well. OG William also had an outburst about "Why did you (Albert) pick them?" at the dinner table. Also the fire takes place a year after our William and Louis were adopted. 12 people died in it, accordin to Louis in the darkest arc of the whole series that got cut from the anime (I'm bitter about it because so much character development). In the same arc, William actually voices his feelings towards Louis, basically saying that he only wanted Louis to stay as innocent as possible to be worthy of the new world they were all creating together, because he was the only one of them worthy of it. As for William's real name, I would say by the end of the anime, only four people alive know it, the three brothers and another. I'm so glad you're enjoying this series, can't wait until next week's

The truck

The "je crois en moi" in Moriarty's carriage means "I believe in myself" :)

That arc being left out since it had so much character development was pretty sad but I can also understand why it was left out, the contents were too dark for the anime in which they made less brutal. I'm still not sure why the anime is so different from the manga but that also reminds me of how the Bungo Stray Dogs anime is a bit different from the manga which is also a little bit darker.

Thank you! Haha, someone on YT had said that too with Episode 1, so I'm going to bring it up in a future reaction, but I appreciate it! :D :D

I can see why, now!! Ahh, I definitely want to read the manga and will probably do a Soapbox of it after the fact and talk about the differences -- especially based on what seems to be left out of the story in these episodes! But yeah, William and the mother were just AWFUL -- it's hard to feel sympathy after what he tried to do to Moriarty and Louis. :/

That's a good note about this being similar to Bungo Stray Dogs! I hadn't thought about that, but I totally see it, now! :D

Moth, thank you for that information about the crest! Someone on YT in the first episode mentioned the translation (which I'll note in a future reaction), but I didn't notice the thing about the spiders! That's SO cool -- and it makes total sense symbolically with the "web" and the brothers working together, etc. I love that little detail; thanks for pointing it out! And ahhh, that's so interesting of what was changed in adaptation! Oooooh, please don't spoil me on what happens in the manga in that cut arc and about "Moriarty's" true name -- I definitely want to read the manga and find out! I'll probably do a soapbox about the manga after the series is over, like I did with No. 6. Thanks so much for the comment! :D

I'm sure a few others already told you to read the manga after watching the anime since they didn't only left out some of the best arcs but also a lot content from the episodes. It also is a lot more brutal in the manga. In the manga it was actually William who stabbed OG William while Albert strangled his mother, who was a lot more involved with everything. Seeing Louis ill and William worried was heartbreaking. Also that Louis was used to it and only wanted his brother by his side was just really sad. I really like that this episode showed us their dynamic in different scenes and how much they care for eachother. It's so disgusting that even now many people still see adoption as a charity. And again, the colour use in this show is amazing. How everything changed into this red. Wish you a wonderful day!!

I DEFINITELY want to read the manga as I get finished with the series, especially if arcs and moments are left out of the anime! That's exciting to see what will be missed! :) And YES! One of the most heartbreaking moments in this series so far has been Louis's "attack" and William just sitting beside him as it all happens. :'( And yes, the nobility in this series can just be THE WORST. The color, though! #datsymbolism -- Thank you for the kind words and I hope you have a great day, too!

I am so glad you enjoyed this episode as well!! While it would have been nice if it was left like in the manga, i can understand why they changed a lot and I appreciate these last two episodes as a good adaptation of the chapters. I am sad that the following arc from the manga is not here but I’ll look forward to a soapbox video where it’s discussed (since it has a lot development for Louis especially). I am glad we both have the same fave it seems (Albert). And yeah kid a Williams’ ideas about “casting devils out” is very idealistic and black-and-white but you will see that as he became an adult his ideas matured and the series will address some of the things you picked up on today. It’s fun to rewatch the show with you and I find myself enjoying the opening every time (especially the lyrics). Anyways thanks for the video and see you next week :)

I'm glad that the series is going to address some of the things talked about in this episode! I get where the kids come from in terms of the "starting point" of building their idealistic world -- I definitely want to read the manga, now, and yessss, Albert is my fave...so far. :) That may change, of course. I'm excited that Louis gets development as well! :D Thank you for the kind words and comment -- This flashback definitely has me intrigued to see what is to come! :D
