Okay, so can we just establish that we all need a Hak in our lives?! Seriously, this man is 100% #husbandogoals and I will shamelessly simp for him this whole series if I have to...

...but luckily, there's more to this episode than just #hakhotness -- flashbacks to establish the friendship of our trio torn apart, insight into King Il's true character (perhaps?), and show the origin of Hak's love (it's love, dammit) of Yona. I'm getting hooked on this series, but I hope Yona gets some rest and recovery, soon!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

Hak is definitely the husbando of the series, I don't blame you for swooning over him! Hak is probably my favorite outside the dragons, so I can't wait for you to meet them.

Hak is such a great character! Swoonworthy, indeed, but I'm really excited to meet the other dragons as well! :D

I love that this series takes the time to develop its main characters and also make the antagonist not just your stereotypical power-hungry villain. We can see that Soo-Won has something going on and there is way more to the story than what we see from Yona's viewpoint. On another note, I don't blame you since it took me nearly four times rewatching and squinting at my screen but the scene by the campfire, Hak isn't offering her hairpin back, he's holding a handful of berries lol. I also thought it was the hairpin at first and was throwing my hands up at Yona like "girl, how out of it are you?!" but no, it's just Hak trying to feed her lmao. I think he asked "What's wrong? Did you lose something?" as a kind of little test and if she hadn't looked for it, would have tossed it. You've mentioned the OVA's and I hope you are planning to watch them but they are adapted pretty much directly from future manga chapters, I was wondering if you'd consider picking up the manga right after the anime and read up to the point the OVA's are relevant and then watch them? It would be easy for one of us to look up the exact chapters to start and stop at. That way you get more context and aren't spoiled for the manga. Just a thought. Anyway, great reaction as always, can't wait for next week!

Yes! Soo Won is so fascinating and I like that he's not a stereotypical antagonist! Oooooooooooooh, and it's berries! Oh, okay, well...that makes more sense why she didn't notice the hairpin. UGH, but still, he was trying to get her to EAT. Haha! OOOH! And YES! I honestly want to read the manga after this is over, so if you or someone knew what chapters went with what OVA, that would be awesome! Thank you for bringing that up! :D :D Thanks for the kind words, too!

Tae jun is voiced by Sakurai Takahiro who voiced Takky in Hoshiai no sora, Miyuki in Diamond no ace and Fritzgerald in bsd. Here are the ages of the childhood trio. Yona 16, like we got told in the first episode. Hak and Soo-won are both 18. I really like how they showed us that Hak was jealous since some time. Not in a bad way but a healthy one. Hak is the most respectful man there is. Seeing flashback of these three makes my heart warm but also breaks it into so many pieces. It's so bittersweet. Even though we haven't seen a lot of Soo-won now, we can see that something is going on and that he isn't just hungry for power. When Yona was going to visit her father she was wondering where all the guards were, so I guess maybe someone distracted them or we've seen that some were in on this. Wish you a wonderful day!!

Ooooohhhh, I forget Miyuki and Fitzgerald share a VA! That's awesome! Interesting!! Okay, the ages make sense, too! Thank you for that info! And YES -- Hak being jealous in a "healthy" way is something I'm not used to seeing in stories, but I appreciate it doesn't take away from his character...dude is SUPER respectful; yay! It's so sad that Yona had to see Il die; you bring up a good point about the guards -- and yessss, this episode was great for setting up the relationships with the character, but so sad because we know they're separated now. I'm REALLY interested in getting more into Soo Won's character and seeing what is truly going on. Thank you so much for the comment and I hope you have a wonderful day, too!
