This piece took a bit longer than initially planned, but it was the most complicated of the set from this month. Link in Zora Armor, stepping out of a pool, with Prince Sidon in the back. Thanks to the Dungeon Masters for their illustration ideas this month.

It's safe to say this was the most challenging piece; I didn't think the elements through well enough at an early enough stage. The final product is very close to the original sketch, and I wasn't exactly confident in that sketch. I wasn't sure how I wanted to handle the shape of the pool either. I also needed to communicate a level of depth that is uncommon within my work. Fortunately, the quality is acceptable.

The rendering is a bit too soft in places for my tastes, but the hair is still one of my favourite parts of the piece. That seems to be a trend lately; something about the expressive brush strokes and the contrasting values. It's painted with a hard brush, while the rest of it looks to be painted with an airbrush.

Don't forget to eat & sleep.

That is some nice hair - and yeah, quite a few colors in it, so it stands out a bit more.
