I thought he was just bossing my man Bill (Ron Swanson) Around. Yes. My man firs. Ron is my favorite from parks and rec followed by the guy who says “Ann Perkins” lol. And Dwight Shrute my favorite from “The Office”. I dont think these are shockers to anyone who knows me lol.

as a straight dude i usually find myself uncomfortable with these kind of episodes but this episode damn near made me shed a tear

I almost cried at the end of the episode after Joel walked outside. Shit hit me in the feels. We see Bill in the game and hear about Frank so they took that and expanded it into this episode so it's basically original content. None of this was part of the game but it was still masterful.

Also, R.I.P. to Annie Wersching, the actress who voiced Tess in the game when it first came out. She passed from cancer earlier this week at only 45 years old 🙏

This was some SUPERB writing! And the acting..... *chef's kiss! I'm usually an eye roller at romance but this was so well done, it wasn't some generic shit they usually try to shove down our throats about perfect people in perfect relationships. As Frank said, they had a lot of great days together, and a lot of bad days together; and that's what REAL love is like. It really was so well done, maybe my favorite so far ❤️

I never want a live action adaptation to be a 1 to 1 remake of a game. I would like there to always be differences. If they are the same then there would no longer be any point to play the game. I also really liked this episode.

I love how ellie conveniently leaves out her getting scared and gasping that caused the infected to be aware of their position in the museum when joel and tess wasn’t ready. The way tess and joel carried themselves I could easily see them surviving last episode if it wasn’t for her

This was just perfect, exacly the stuff I want from the show...ok let me elaborate, dont give me more lovestorys, fuck that crap, but IIRC we meet Bill at one point in the game, and there is a mension of Frank who died some time earlier. Taking these untold storys from the game and making episodes out of them is just what the format is best for

In older houses, especially ones built in the country if you have the windows open and one door closes it'll create a draft. That's why the door to the bedroom closed when the front door did. It was a brilliant stylistic choice, knowing that Bill and Frank are dead inside there, it was almost as if it were Bill and Frank saying, "No, Joel. You don't want to see this." Fucking BRILLIANT. I could write a paper on this episode alone.

I mean, this is an "adaptation". It won't be the exact same as the game. The show needs to be its own original thing as well...

This was a beautiful episode. I cried real tears more than once. I saw one of the comments said it was a filler but I disagree. (Never played the games!) but to me, it reminded the audience that love and life can continue on during horrible times. AND it gave Joel a nudge to continue being a protector.

Loving the blind perspective as always. It was fun watching all three of you slowly come around on Frank. Even though the names were mentioned before, I'm glad you guys forgot until the radio code talk. It just gave you more time to put together theories about what was going on. All of that would've been missing if you guys knew Bill's story from the game.

I find it funny so many reactor didn't realize what her infected scene was about last episode she asked Joel about if it was hard to kill them knowing they were once people so I guess she wanted to see if she could do it and possibly a little bit of putting him out of his misery
