Dustin is super cocky and kind of a jerk but nobody says anything cause he’s funny and is friends with Steve, who “does no wrong” and everyone loves and venerates. I think her main reason for staying and working with Brenner is so she can help her friends. Yes some of it is the power, but she knew she needed to get them back to truly save her friends (and the town/world of course). I think it was a logical choice in the circumstances.

I love your commentary and reactions so much because your takes are objective and align with the plot. You make a lot of great observations and understand everything very well. It doesn't hurt that all characters in Stranger Things, even the "bad guys" are played so well that it's not a one dimensional type of thing, all the characters have their good and bad.
