I totally get your interpretation about Chisato's heart, but I just wanted to point out that episode 2 starts with Robota explaining that the Alan Institute seeks out "geniuses suffering from poverty or other obstacles, and provide free assistance." They don't make gifted individuals, they just make sure that naturally gifted individuals have a chance to thrive.

The whole heart thing was supposed to be confusing. It's only been the last few episodes where they start piecing it together, since you're learning about it alongside Takina.

You guys shouldn't feel bad for misinterpreting how Chisato's powers and her artificial heart was handled, I remember a lot of people in the anime discussions at the time thought that this show had supernatural elements and magical powers up until episode 9 or 10

Thing is, idk how it got confusing, they had shown a video of Chisato being nasty af against like 6 other girls, but after she was done shooting, she collapsed, and that’s when Mika told Yoshi that she had congenital heart disease. So her body just couldn’t keep up with the talent, and therein came the new, transplanted heart.
