jesse almonte

Honestley, I gotta catch up with the manga, I have 0 idea how close she is

Geo Rockmann

You guys should react to Inuyashiki and "I'm a spider "

RonyOnPat

Najimi's Wiki literally says: Gender: Najimi

JsnSkg

Speaking of Kaguya-sama, the VA for Komi is Aoi Koga, who is also the voice of Kaguya herself. She does a really good job with all the very subtle and small noises that Komi makes.

Letting y'all know EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER NAME in this show is a Japanese pun. Tadano Hitohito = A regular person, because he's so plain. Komi Shoko = Girl with Communication disorder, and Osana Najimi = Childhood Friend.

Amzee

In this show, the character's names are chosen based on their personality. Tadano Hitohito means 'average person'. Osama najimi means 'childhood friend'. Najimi doesn't have a gender because he's the accumulation of all the childhood friend energy in the world. He knows he's screwing with people, when he said 'what do you mean? i'm a girl' he used the pronoun 'boku' which is primarily used by young boys.

Just to clear up the confusion, the show was saying that the application to get in the school was basically a formal interview where you try to be professional to get in but when you get in you can be how you truly are. If personality was included in the application then Tadano definitely wouldn't have got it.

Maxine

roshi tried not to respond to sheera's antics lmaoo she cannot be stopped!

Dude559

oh man these translations got me cracking up "Ya boi's a girl"

Dude559

ALSO ALL EPISODES HAVE AN AFTERCREDITS

Exiova

there was an after credits, this show doesn't do next episode previews.

TheRoyalHat

For extra context, Tadano when he said he was good at reading the room in episode one is true. all of the subtexts around Komi that explains how she feels is how Tadano is able to understand Komi unlike other people. They show Najimi's POV and then cut back to Tadano's POV and you can see what I mean.

Jazmyne Mattucci

Honestly, when i refer to Najimi, i use They/Them pronouns just to be on the safe side. If it helps to refer to them better

Zach Saltou

I have never seen this but not gonna lie, seems pretty legit to me

Darknaru

What you guys didn't know Komi be killing people in this streets?

Ohais

Y'all don't have to worry about slipping up on pronouns with Najime. They've been referred to by all different ones. Just go with whatever comes to mind in the moment or just once whatever feels safe. They/Them is usually a good option if you'd prefer to be on the safe side. But it's no sweat, especially with Najime who is mischievous with it anyway

Estelle Hana

Omg this whole unable to communicate issue and all that misunderstanding (minus the romance) really reminds me of Handa-kun! I hope Handa-kun will get its time to shine in this channel

Chedder

it would be cool if the narrator is her telling her high-school story

Weltall Gaia

Osananajimi is japanese for childhood friend. Cuz japan loves its puns.

NeoSpotLite

I think Komi having her one index finger up is actually her asking, "one more try" or "one more time"

NeoSpotLite

Their name, Osana Najimi, literally translates to "Childhood Friend," lmao. I've commented this in the 1st episode too, most if not all of their names are puns,

answer to sheeras question #69

Immoral Mortal

Apparently according to my mates i come of as cold to people because i give short direct answers and have trouble holding convos. I thought i was fine until a couple of friends pointed it out

Ohais

I never really talked much through secondary school, other than to the fee people I was close with from primary school. But when I finally got to know someone new in my last couple years there, she said that before she got to know me, she thought I seemed quite stony and self-important. Which I'm literally the most laid back and carefree person you could ever actually meet

None None

That skit where they send her to get the coffee is a parody of a Japanese hidden camera show called "The First Errand" ("I'm Old Enough" in some regions) where they send a 4 year old to the store to buy groceries, then stalk them with cameras to see what kind of trouble they have along their way (like buying the wrong thing, getting lost, or dropping the bag). Takano's little encouraging outbursts during the scene, like "you have to look harder", is exactly the kind of commentary the show's narrator would make. The show's been running in Japan for like two decades now, so this is like the fourth or fifth time I've seen an anime parody it.

Leanne Stephenson

would you guys be interested in watching blue period when you's have a slot open. I know Roshi draws, so would be interesting to see what he thinks of it so far!!

Alexander Brown

It's funny cause it's the same va that does kaguya and komi

StolenChakra

That is such a ridiculous thought about misgendering an anime character that the MC clearly obviously doesn't know! If the character is playing on this that's the point of the on going gag, so its pointless to put the anime character in this western argument starting misgendering bs Just seems like trying to ruin the gag for no reason. The character is fiction and made for the gag

TheDroppedFry

If you do got time, I would suggest reacting to Inuyashiki, fantastic but morbid series. I would also recommend Hellbound, a recent K-drama that came out. That aside, I am enjoying the content and I hope y'all keep it up!

Amzee

Is it just me or is the song that plays in the very beginning from the Haruhi movie?

dude had the same hair as coach Ukai lmfao
