I love Komi Can't Communicate but if you guys want a genuinely different and in my opinion truer to life take on social anxiety in high school I would check out WataMote. I related so closely to Tomoko not only in high school but present day it's scary.

Some examples from this episode: Komi Shoko = komyushou (communication disorder) Tadano Hitohito = tada no hito (just a person) Agari Himiko = agari-shou (stage fright) hikyou (cowardice) Kishi Himeko (the armor girl) = kishi (knight) Shinobino Mono (the ninja) = shinobi no mono (a person in hiding)
