Since this is an origin story, its safe to say that lol champions are not going to die because they are in the game which is set years later. League of Legends lore is so deep and intertwined. There are currently 163 champions each with their own lore. And even more characters around those 163 champions that may turn into playeable champions later on. They are divided into countries. Including Piltover & Zaun (counted as 1) There are currently a total of 10 countries each with past, present and future lore involving multiple champions. Each country also have their own distinct culture that influence that champions that live in them. My personal favorite is Ionia simply because of ninjas and samurais. There are even comics stuff if you are interested in it.

This is super late but if I recall correctly, Arcane is set in the LoL universe of course but is the "proper" canon or its own canon. I believe we were told that just because someone is an existing champion, they are not safe from dying. Otherwise, certain things may be too predictable I would think.

Like the other person said, it's been stated that Arcane is not completely canon. They can absolutely kill off characters if they want to, they just decided not to rather than the fact that they couldn't. They could kill Vi next season if they wanted to.

You late man. They already said it's canon. Riot created an entire team to deal with the lore. They're unifying the lore from Arcane and Legends of Runeterra (and every other new Runeterra game) and putting it on top the current LoL lore. Riot Meddler and Riot Brightmoon announced it in one of their recent devupdates.

Almost all characters in League of Legends got a dark background. The show wants to tell you that there's no heroe in any story. There's a saying "A heroe will be a heroe while the story has been told by the heroe". No black, no white, just greys. That's why everyone is accountable. Pitover got the consequences of their inactions. They were ignoring Undercity for too long and now it paysback. Vi is paying for her immature way to handle many situations of Powder. And Powder was paying all along for not be mentally strong to understand her situation. Of course theres other characters like Jayce, Viktor, Caitlyn, Heimendinger, and such but the most important thing is that no one is good or evil, they just didn't do the things they had to at the moment they should. Sad but that's life but I hate when people can't think about this stuff and go straight forward and condemn one person for everything. I love all the reactions even though I didn't agree with Lupa way of thinking most of the time but that's why I liked it. Humans are complicated and this let me understand why things are like they are right now. Lol

Silco is one of the best written character I've seen so far. He's the same with Askeladd from Vinland Saga. Even in his final moments, he never blamed or hated Jinx. He really did genuinely loved her as a daughter, and accepted and supported her to the end. Silco was loyal to her as she was loyal to him. His last words were, “Don’t cry. You’re perfect." He died as a good father for Jinx, the same with Vander to Vi. And also, Season 2 is already in production. Unfortunately, Riot CEO said that it's not going to be anytime soon, so expect it on 2023.

Don't bother looking up league lore. You'll be busy for weeks. I think learning the lore through the show is a better way to learn. Like there's league lore and then all the skin lines also have their own lore. You guys could react to all the cinematics they've made over the years. Think you'll see a bunch of cool characters, some we might even meet at some point.

league of legends is like a whole planet of characters, that's basically all you need to know, all one planet, the title "League of Legends" was the game when it first released, a league (Battle arena) of legends (Chosen "Champions ") of each region, the title is rly not important aside from the word Champion is basically all the characters, this is a story based on one of the regions, out of the like 12 total, i know yall wont read this but imma still type it :)

All the "Legends" are from the world of Runeterra. They each have their own lore but the game is just all the "Legends" of this world pitted against each other. The explanation being that the player is a Summoner summoning the "Legend" to fight on the field of Summoner's Rift to fight for their faction(Team).

Arcane has been confirmed for multiple seasons. And yes, every single champion/character in league is in the same universe. That just leaves the question as, will future seasons of arcane continue jinx and vi’s story or will it dive into other character’s stories. The title Arcane doesn’t necessarily tie to jinx and vi, other characters have magical abilities as well

There is huge lore to league of legends for every character and I'm pretty sure they are all in the same universe. I think all the lore of league is purely text tho so you can read about it, but Arcane is like our first time literally seeing it (besides little bits of story that we see in trailers and music videos)

This was such a cool ending honestly. it left a lot of things open ended in anticipation for season 2. I cannot wait for the next season, 2 years probably! Champions: Vi Jinx Jayce Viktor Ekko Heimerdinger Singed (the professor that created shimmer) Honestly it was such an awesome watch! Glad you guys enjoyed it and that it piqued your interest on the over all League lore. Despite part of the community being toxic, League has a bunch of cool characters, world building, political drama, and lore. I honestly cannot wait for them to include Demacia and Noxus to the midst. solid show but personally the one thing i felt they could have done better was the relationship between vi and caitlyn,a little more build up would have been great...i felt no emotions in all their scenes together cuz it was just straight from strangers to almost out of nowhere deep connections and feelings...in that moment where as a viewer you are also supposed to be conflicted about choosing btw powder and caitlyn i would'nt mind her choosing power and letting caitlyn die cuz i dont have any strong enough connection with their pair to feel a certain type of way(obviosly morally you wouldnt want her to die either way but im just saying btw the two).Hopefully they do a better job at building their relationship together in season since they are obviosly going to be a thing

Yeah Roshi, don't bother looking up lore from the game. You'll get lost because there's like ... too many people to keep track of, not everyone is related to connected to eachother, plus there's some retcons going on that might not have been updated in the game. League of Legends might take Arcane's entire plot into account now for the Champions that are in the game. Also you might get confused on which universe is what because there's lore for Skin Lines ( all champs have cosmetic skins and those skins have alternate universe lore attached to them like PROJECT, Star Guardian, Space Odyssey, etc.) It's best you don't bother because that's A LOT unless you are genuinely interested. Really I'd just look at the game to see what they look like. Although you might get spoiled but then again even if you know what the character(s) will become, you have no idea how they got there. But you should look at the animated cinematics from League of Legends beginnings up to current date because the game came a LONG WAY.

Theres a whole slew of easter eggs in the series for characters that will likely show up in season 2. This was a fun ride and season 2 was announced and has started production however it wont be next year according to the owner of Riot. Before Mel was confirmed Noxian, I assumed she might have been from the Shurima territories. Right now in the timeline I doubt Azir's resurrection and rebuilding is even happening. Though still even as Noxian I assumed her clothes were Shuriman by design like she got her fit custom made ( she has the money for it ) in their style with all that white and gold because she liked it. Now that I'm seeing those gold trims on her body seem permanent, I wonder if it actually is like a Zhonya's artifact attached on her that her mother had put on her for her protection because Noxus don't play. People from Noxus, if they fuck with the wrong person, might have assassins come and kill your children to send a message and her mom planned ahead. So that if Mel was ever caught in danger, the artifact would immediately activate and coat her in gold and put her in time stasis to protect her from a lethal attack.

It's important to remember that the council was only agreeing to the peace proposal. And the proposal involved Silco giving up jinx which he wouldn't have done so the proposal was basically useless and there would still be war regardless

nah bro if you look at it in video game terms, Jayce is super fed and in base so hes a higher level then Jinx and since Viktor upgraded his Hex core hes also on an equal or higher level to Jinx. and since her rocket does execute damage with low base damage everyone else in that room is fucked except for Jayce and Viktor.

There was actually a lot of champions from the game in the series, Vi, Caitlyn, Jayce, Viktor, jinx, singed, heimerdinger, and ekko. Are all champions in the game, but keep in mind that theres over 150 champions and the lore is a complete jumbled mess its like if overwatch just kept releasing characters until there was 150 of them and for each one they made up a backstory. Theres some overlap between certain characters backstories but a lot of it is more or less unrelated.

The lore is only a jumbled mess if you’re looking at the latest ruination event where they only focused on the newer champions of that region ignoring all the older ones that basically make the story. As a whole the story is pretty tight, from scarners race, and it’s effect on the world, or xerath/shurima -a lot of their work is good! But Yh the more champs they release it’s obvious it’s getting harder to keep track of. Eg gangplanks event with mf a few years back was an epic story event that everyone loved AND moved the main plot forward

Logically, Jayce and Viktor will survive. Viktor's leg and hand are reinforced and empowered by arcane magic and I'm pretty sure that Hexcore ( no matter where it is ) is connected to Viktor like a secondary heart since it seems alive and it might react. Viktor will survive and so will Jayce since they're physically closest to eachother at the moment. Mel might survive going off the theory that the gold on her skin is some Shuriman artifact ( if it's gonna work like Zhonya's Hourglass) or Solari artifact ( creating a magic shield ). Everyone else is kind of a nobody character so they'll mostly be dead. Hopefully season two might introduce Corina Veraza ( she's from the card game ) as Silco's replacement as antagonist from Zaun since I'm pretty sure she made those plants that gave the Chembaron's fresh air in that one building.

I read a few lores of the characters from LoL but I already forgot most of them. I think Pilltover is a nation created to get away from the wars and mages, but as you can see them wanting to advance further caused them to look into “magic” and is bringing them to war anyway.

I personally think there will be a point when both sides will have to unite to face the other nations in the world. Vi will probably be the new Silco/Vander, leader of the undercity. Jayce and MAYBE Mel will live to govern the topside along with new council members. The "League" itself is like an NBA all star game where the different characters are spawned into a battlefield and have a battle royal (its not really a part of any lore) which is basically what the actual video game is.

I thought they did a great job with the first few scenes and their chemistry in general was great, but considering they only knew eachother a few days some of the later scenes did feel a bit dramatic. Yo, coming from someone who's been into League's Lore for years now, I've gotta say: the game always had a "story" per say. All the champions had homes such as Piltover and Zaun, there are other reigns and cities across their world filled up with life. They tell that story through various materials though, such as champions description in the game, and a good source for lore are their short videos across youtube for champion reveals and such, and their card game "Legends of Runeterra" which have all sorts of cards with descriptions with snippets and information about all sorts of events of their world. This show is something of a small token of what their world looks like through this well-written piece of art, but the lore goes waaaay deeper than just this. Believe me when I say that they have material for seasons upon seasons and all sorts of spin-off movies if they want to. I'd recommend you guys checking out their short animations on youtube, they might give you guys a taste of what's to come.

Cait's flaw is her ignorance. Ekko almost knocked her out over it. Even when she got an understanding of it Vi left her because she didn't /really/ understand. Ekko's flaw, in my opinion, is that he's too soft. Vi wasn't lying but she easily could've and duffed out the leader of the firelights in .2 seconds. He lost it over the pink haired chick dying and almost got himself killed. He didn't kill Powder even thought she'd murdered at least three of his people on screen at that point.

So yea Roshi was correct every character that had a boost or powerup is a champion in the game. In all the fights scenes there are easter eggs for each of thier abilities. If your interested thier is a non spoilery way to see each champion by looking up thier "Champion spotlights" a few of the champions have intro videos also... Ekko's is pretty dope. I guess as a right of passage you gotta check out "True Damage" also These are the non spoiler ways to get the other cool stuff for the characters... I love the way Arcane is making the lure into a mainstreamed series... Oh yea and Lupa-san.... Noxus is where Madarda and her mother is from its basically Planet Vegeta in the league lore.. Everyone in Noxus is tough and battle hardened cause of the constant war with the Frailor but just another piece of lure....

i have so so much to say about the ending, ive always understood the reasonings for why jinx is how she is, ive never been blind to it, i have sympathy, but i also thought that on the chance she could be saved shed have to find way to atone or pay for her crimes or something because she's still pretty much a terrorist lol. in this episode i felt that the possibility of them making up was in the air, i was open to it just unsure how. but somehow the way it ended up, the expected way? i think? of them being against each other, was much worse to me because even understanding she's a crazy person, jinx's motives for 'why' in that scene were way lost on me.

I understand the hate on Jinx, being a terrorist and all. There's also the other side of the argument, where people absolve her of responsibility due to her past, unchecked trauma. There doesn't have to be a black and white answer, and I think that's what's so beautiful about this show. Like mentioned in ep. 9 reaction, ALL the characters are flawed, especially Jinx. Jinx and everyone else in the show should be held accountable for their actions, but at least be understood as human rather than condemned outright, which I think Roshi and Sheera understood.

But Vi couldn't accept the current her. However, Silco did. Completely accepted the current her (for obvious reasons), even went out of his way to save and protect her.

The big reason why arcane was so good is because whenever riot makes a new character, they make their own lore and they make it so that the character is from one of the 12 regions. Its a huge map and in the league website, they have a map and each characters lore. Everything is connected and each character is connected to the other characters within their own region in some way. Thats why arcane was soo good. It basically already had a comic to draw inspiration from. no joke, they also made comics for the characters. for example, noxus is one of those regions and the characters there are fire. so much to delve into so I hope they bring them in as well.

the proposal of peace was based on Jinx being imprisoned or executed, and on the condition that Silco would be leading (he was at least qualified to represent Zaun and reign the radical elements in, but without him there's no one qualified). Without Silco, Zaun wouldn't be enough of a threat to force them to settle for peace and they would want Jinx captured anyways so even without that final scene, peace was never an option

What I like about Silco's choice is that, he protected Jynx on principle, because he took her in and took responsibility for her. But Jayce was offering everything Silco's stuck to his principles to achieve, his lifes work. Sacrifice the thing that all your sacrifices have been made for, or lose yourself and justify all the bodies you have buried. Philosophically it was a beautifully written scene
