I think Tsukasa and Senku's overall abilities balances each other out well as enemies. Tsukasa is strong as hell and he definitely has good deduction skills but Senku intellect is way above average even if his physical abilities are trash.

Tsukasa's physical abilities are way above average. It is basically somewhat even. Senku of course has the advantage because the point of this series is to show how good and useful being smart and using science can be. But it is literally bronze vs brains. OP physical capabilities and OP mental capabilities.

Why do ppl keep thinking Tsukasa randomly guessed that? He clearly mentioned COAL in the same fucking sentence. Coal leads to steam engines, duh. Tsukasa knows the basics and is a brilliant leader and strategist. It's really not that random lol.

Where did he get the idea of Coal from dude? Senku isn't creating stuff in a straight line from cavemen era to current times, there is no "logical progression"...He literally just made carbon fiber and a telephone, and Tsukasa knows Senku's almost limitless invention potential. While a steam engine is a logical conclusion from coal, where did he just asspull that Senku is playing with coal from? You're right though, it's not random that Tsukasa guessed correctly, the writer wrote him to know for the sake of conflict; Without a BS character like Tsukusa, Senku would be unbeatable.

Yo this has nothing to do with Dr.Stone but i got a short recommendation: You guys should check out the Anime Charlotte its a short Anime with only 13 eps but it has a great story with slice of life, comedy, action and drama. It would be great to fill gap between two animes if something like that ever happens.
