Do we need to watch the last episode of Slime (S2 Ep 9) or is it essentially a recap? If its not necessary we are all caught up!

If it doesn't have a .5 in it, it's technically not a recap and should be watched. It still has important information and buildup, which ppl easily dismiss because they have tunnel vision whining over the recap bits.

Not related at all, but are u guys reacting to the new aot episode today? It got delayed so only the 17min and 19 min version are out. If u do, I recommend watching 17min cause they cut out the biggest blue balls leaving cliffhanger. Or is everyone waiting till the official release

I personally was very disappointed and skipped a lot of the episode. It wasn't simply just filler but it was a lot of recapping for what we already know. Mainly it was just all dialogue and nothing actually happening. The last 5 minutes is important enough for you to go ahead and watch it because it does set up the upcoming episode. Slime has been disappointing this season. It has pacing issues. Slime fans will bitch at me for saying it but I like the actual content but not the way the anime is having it play out. The directing for this season partially sucks.

Some of it is recap but some of it is not, so yes I wouldnt mind you guys watching it or if you want skip to the last 10 ish mins?

Definitely watch. It's only recap for like, at most, 4 or so minutes spread out through the 1st half. The rest is just a meeting that sets up the events to Tuesdays episode. The same ones complaining about this episode will most likely complain on Tuesdays as well seeing as how it's going to end on a big cliffhanger. Just watch lmao

i would say watch it. the anime is basically following the manga anyways and this was in the manga.

Episode 9 is poorly paced and it's annoying, however as unfortunate as it may be I wouldn't suggest skipping it.

I wish i could say skip it, but unfortunately they do put some key new info into the episode to prevent it from becoming a skippable recap (which honestly feels worse than a pure recap)

I'm wondering how many people saying skip it are Anime only. There are things discussed at points that will come up later / or are referenced down the line. I get some of this could have been cut and I'm not thrilled about parts that were cut out, but it's more than the last 5 minutes that are important.

9 has like 3 minutes of recap and then its all set up for whats coming. Def wait for 10 then do both cause while 9 isn't a bad ep its going to pair well with ep 10.

While it may not be necessary...HYPE is never a bad thing. I think others have already said, you'll want to go right into episode 10. (Plus might get to see Roshi throw Slime-san again!)

IMO it's not a recap, but it's understandable why it may be perceived as such. It's more of a pensive episode, and a final cliched "calm before the storm". (I say all this as an anime-only person).
