Zuko is looking for his fathers approval. Throughout all these episodes Zuko has been unloved and treated like shit by his dad. His biggest dream is to reclaim his destiny which really is just being told by his father how much he is proud of him. And restoring his honor amongst his family. That child hood trauma is real for Zuko and that scar leaves and even deeper pain.

The only reason Katara was able to beat Zuko back in the northern water tribe was because she had the moon. If it was daytime Zuko would have easily won. Plus she was in her element with the snow and tons of water all around her.

Sheera said jet would've been a good additio., I agreed, butttt. When i think back on it, jet lost against everyone, and even died against a basic earth bending move. The villains they face later on would have been too much for jet. RIP katara's ex .
