Excellent episode, my one complaint is there’s not really a lot of tension I think. Like, they’re hyping up the wyvern Kaiju, but then Kikoru got her special weapon that one shots them, then all the other companies came in to help out. That’s just me though, still love the show

If the attack was at the city instead of their base the casualties would have been much higher, wheter it is from civilians or soldiers side. It feels like the Kaijus are just testing their strenght compared to the defense force with this attack.

We still don’t know how big of a difference 9 and 9.8 are. I mean Hoshino is only 4% below the captain, yet he’s still a monster, and claims to be much weaker. Basically, it seems inconsistent based on just word of mouth. That being said, I do think Kafka would for sure win, maybe not super easily though.

What I’m really interested about is, them finding out 10 being magnitude 9.0 seem to terrify them. So when they found out that 8 is magnitude 9.8, the vice captain was sure cocky as hell facing against him… wouldn’t there be like a complete balls-to-the-wall reaction when they report number 8 is sighted?? Like: “holy CRAP the 9.8 was just sighted, vice captain, lets make sure we have every single preparation with the CAPTAIN ready when facing him” not, “yo lemme pull up to this absolute threat in an alleyway like a normal ass pull-up” and even underestimate him like vice captain confessed to kafka…

I don't think Shinomiya named those moves. The first one She called it Squadron style axe techniques. They all military things. Even thought the names are hilarious. So its moves the Defense force has had on lock for a bit. For everyone that uses axes. If it was her thing she would use her family name as the style like the Vice captain does

Just wanted to add, Kofka is actually stronger. Remember when he transformed to save home girl in the test he said he was going to punch at his full power. The command base said that there was a 9.8 fortitude spike, making him one of the strongest kaiju in history.

9.8 is his max fortitude so far, but he can unleash a smaller percentage if he wants (like when he transforms only one part of his body). His transformation can go up to 9.8, but he doesn't need to be at 9.8 all the time.
