I want to make this video public but will first just post it here as as I am not sure how I should title it so that it could make sense.

I would also welcome anyone who thinks I am doing a good job to leave a public comment on YouTube telling about your experience you had so far. Please keep in mind that my “goal” will be only reached if I manage to satisfy all my supporters with a tuning that sounds perfect to them. Right now I still try to verify and optimise my target and maybe improve it even more as I can still hear some differences between the flattened HD600 and my tuning but I am not sure how close I should try to achieve it because even the HD600 can change a lot depending how I put it on, as well as the sound from a speaker will also change as soon as you move your head a bit to the front or back. Just play pink noise and try moving your head slightly or do the same with a headphone and notice how the spectrum will change its timbre if you move the headphone around slightly. The same goes for the Earfun Free Pro, depending on how I wear it, sometimes I twist it to the back to get a better hold which will also change the timbre, sometimes for the better sometimes for the worse, there will always be some uncertainty factor and I am not sure how to deal with this as I want to make it as solid as possible with as little coloration as possible. I think I am already much better than anything else I have heard but I am not satisfied as long as I am not 100% sure it’s perfect now. Or course I cannot ask you to tell me if you still hear errors as long as I haven’t created tunings for your particular resonance frequency. Because you will only get the “right” sound if the tuning is optimised for your particular ear canal. I am confident that my method will work as I could experience it on my own with my 2 “different sounding” ear states. By just adjusting the tuning to compensate for the peak shifts using the same target I could manage to make it sound the same for me in both cases.

Before I take further steps and start investing time into creating tunings for other resonance frequencies I need to be sure to have a solid target, and need to clean the target curve which is basically based on a response measurement which I think sounds correct at the given resonance.

I will try to create all further tunings manually which can be sometimes a bit frustrating as lots of trial and error is involved. I want all EQs to have a similar structure which will allow for additional bass and clarity control, but I cannot verify the results with my own ear anymore and will need to wait for your final verdict which can maybe force me to adjust my target again… a vicious circle as you can see.

But when done well this will basically give me the recipe to be able to offer the “perfect” sound to anyone regardless which IEM and which ear canal length. I hope it becomes more obvious now why I cannot offer this for free and I think 10€ for a sound which is perfectly tailored towards your own ear with further adjustment options to meet your own taste is still ridiculous.
