I recorded this with my broken mics and thank godness it still turned out quite OK. I hope I can manage another headphone video with these before sending my mics away. As I want to make another video about the Apple Airpods Max showing some special features like importing personal audiogram to improve the sound and also spatial audio.

So stay tuned...

Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 - the worst?

I am again shocked how bad these highly rated Bose headphones actually sound compared to the much cheaper Anker Soundcore Life Q30 and the way more premium Apple Airpods Max. If you are on a tight budget get the Anker and use my user EQ to make it one of the best sounding ANC headphones on the market right now: https://www.patreon.com/posts/44927381 Anker Soundcore Life Q30 on amazon: https://amzn.to/3lJZ7JU

What a muddy sound from the Bose. I like gadgets that have outstanding quality in terms of the materials. So I would pay higher prices for the headphone I fell in love with. But Apple is not my thing and soundwise there is to little gap to the Anker for paying so much more. The Anker is the overall winner and the Bose is really horrible.

Anker sound good but looks cheap. I wish Apple would make a cheaper Max-es, maybe not as premium, but with the same electronics. I'm surprised they didn't go for AirPlay 2 for connection to the AirPods Max when WiFi is available.

Wi-Fi drains battery way more. I once made a test streaming over Airplay vs Bluetooth from my phone and with Airplay battery drained way faster. Maybe I can find my values from back then but I think it was like factor 4...

I have the bose quitecomfort 35 ii And they don't sound like the 700 I'm really shocked after hearing the 700 they are bad i thought that they way better then my quitecomfort 35 ii and i think it's the opposite

You buy Bose for the noise cancelling, and that works quite well. Nobody does critical audio listening on the airplane. Most of the time you're watching movies from the on-board entertainment system.

It’s ridiculous sounding. Sounds to me like not even being 44.1khz / 16bit resolution, or like if the bitrate of sound stream is very low. I don’t know what do these guys drink there 🙈

It's not 44.1/16, it's 256kbps AAC like with other Bluetooth headsets. Still that didn't stop Anker and Apple from sounding better.

Which application do you use for equalizing the headphones 700 ?

Is there any possibility to test the Soundcore Life Q30 against the Bose QC35 II? didn‘t feel that they sound so badly as the Bose 700.

I heard the Bose in a store, and I definitely wouldn’t spend my money on it. It lacks detail sounds somehow veiled, it definitely not worth the money. On sound alone the Q30 beats it hands down

The Bose app has just some bass treble control but you cannot really change the sound for the better

Like i said bose does nothing special nowadays, back then they designed some beast : companion serie, the sounddock portable and sounddock 10 whose were impressive by their clarity and power for their size then after that they became worse with muddied speakers (soundtouch and homespeaker series) and crappy headphones A week ago i tried all of them and even the SoundTouch series (20 and 30) whose has the same core are more muffled than sounddock series (portable and 10), i tried older headphones like the quietcomfort 15 and it sounds a bit more open than the newer 700 So no evolution at all in sound except some features

Could you post a playlist from this video please?
