Patreon status update (Patreon)

Strap in for a slight rant here, a bit frustrated, and structure is hard when frustrated. >.<

Just want to make a quick little status update here about why my activity has been so lackluster the past few months. Decided to just make this available for patrons for the time being, Will probably do a much more detailed writeup once doing so carries much less risk.

Oversimplified a decent amount, I've been having a lot of meetings with lawyers... in multiple countries (If anyone else finds themselves in a situation to need to unwrap 5 juristictions spread over 3 continents... best of luck). That much is fine, was planned, and if left by itself would've been fine, barely noticeable to anyone after December... but, wouldn't you know, things happen at the worst of times.

I am using 5 payment processors to keep this operation going, manning server payments and all that fun stuff, but suddenly one of them decided to audit me... yay... they decided that I were peddling adult content, and as such decided to hit my account with a series of restrictions, which in turn required me to engage with even more lawyers. (As you all know, there's nothing more scary than tits and ass)

And since mishaps rarely come around by themselves, wouldn't you believe that another one started an audit of me... They decided there was a risk that I were engaging in money laundering. While no lawyers were needed for this incident, this took like 3.5 weeks to get sorted, and I got cleared a few days prior to the last HS2 pack.

At this point I've given up clearing the account that is under suspicion of peddling adult content, instead opting to exit that relationship and work around the associated problems, so that is no longer a major concern, though the migration will... act surprised now... require legal services... so more legal meetings :derp:

Sloooooowly, but surely, things are returning somewhat to normal, and I can hopefully shortly reduce the number of legal meetings to a lesser number, just engaging with one lawyer per country... so... 5 lawyers spread across the globe... That is, by comparison, very doable though, and should see my activity increase to something resembling normal activity.

Also... protip... don't try to unwrangle tax laws for 5 countries at once, plus treaties between the countries affecting tax... really not recommended... if you do, get a box of painkillers, that shit will make you prone to headaches. My only saving grace is that Patreon deals with sales tax/value added tax for me... never thought I'd be this happy to have someone tax me =P

In closing, rest assured, despite becoming a hefty consumer of painkillers and getting real sick of legalese, I'm handling and seeing most of this stuff drawing close to a conclusion.

Koikatsu Sunshine pack is pretty much ready, but ofc there's a problem with a mod... so currently evaluating if I should ignore it and proceed to sealing, or if I should hold the pack, pending a update. Taken that quite a lot of users will want that plugin I think I'm basically forced to wait...
