Hey everyone!

It's time to vote on what you'd like to see on the channel next month!

The videos I'll definitely be working on are the following:

- Linux News: one per week, so 5 in June :)

- The release of /e/ OS 1.0, the privacy focused ROM for Android phones

- KDE Plasma 5.25: the new release should be out in June 9th, so we'll take a look at what's new, and it seems like it's going to be packed with new stuff

- Tuxedo Stellaris 15: a review of the refreshed high end production and gaming laptop, that I might end up buying

- DeskMini UM350X review: a new mini PC, that's super affordable, and runs Manjaro out of the box

An now, on to the stuff you can vote for!

- Android and Chrome OS: can we count them as Linux successes? The goal is to look at these Linux based operating systems, and see if we should, or can include them in Linux's growth on the desktop / mobile

- Things we could do to improve Linux: a few ideas we could work on to improve everyone's experience on Linux, from beginners to power users

- My Linux mistakes: a look back at the many mistakes I've made with Linux over the years, might be seen as a cautionary tale :D

- Should we want proprietary apps on Linux? A look at the advantages, and disadvantages of getting proprietary applications on our open source desktops

- How to contribute to FOSS if you're not a developer: a few ways anyone can help projects even without knowing how to code

Vote for the one you prefer, and I'll work on the 2 which get the most votes!

Best,

Nick

In 2009 while attending a conference at Harvard we held a "Book Sprint" with the goal to create a Linux command line manual by the end of the 3 day conference. A room was set aside at the Harvard Science Center and any one could come in between talks and help in any way they could. Even it you weren't an expert there was always a chapter to proof read or spell check. This is the book we created for the FSF. https://shop.fsf.org/books-docs/introduction-command-line

Tuxedo Stellaris 15 ♥ Bought one last Christmas and this thing is a beast, plays anything I through at it and the CPU blazes through complex typescript intellisense easily compared with my old thinkpad X1 gen 2. A couple downsides I found were the occasional black screen after boot (I just have to leave it for a night and it'll go back to normal) and the battery life (on Ubuntu I think I get around 3 or 4 hours; on arch with the gpu disabled and only two cores active at 800MHz I'm getting around 7 hours out of it) Can't wait for the video!
