It's tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime! 

I've wanted to watch this one for such a long time. Apparently the sequal is also really good and about a lawyer, so I'm super excited to start this journey. What I think I will do is upload one season of this, then a season of another show, then another one of this. Just because my experience with GoT taught me that a very long show, can be hard to keep uploading week after week. As per usual I will bundle the youtube video's with two episodes. ENJOOYYY!! :D

You mentioned a few times that you were considering alternating between seasons of True Detective and Breaking Bad however it MUST be mentioned that season 2 of True Detective is universally hated. The reason True Detective season 1 was so good is because the creator of the show (Nic Pizzolatto) took 4 to 5 years to write it. And after season 1 became a hit, HBO immediately wanted another season so Pizzolatto only had like six months to write season 2. And because of that, it felt rushed and not very engaging. Both critics AND audiences disliked that season heavily. Just mentioning this because a season 2 reaction won't garner a lot of views-- literally no one on YT has reacted to either seasons 2 or 3. It'd just be a big waste of time and money. Everyone I know stopped watching the second season after just a few episodes-- I was the only one in my circle to finish it and to me, it definitely wasn't worth it. Season 1 is the only season viewers care about. But it's totally up to you, Mari. But yea, I'm super excited for your Breaking Bad journey!

The first season of True Detective is sooo good though. I have been waiting to rewatch it in case Mary or a few others I follow watch it.

Oh yea, True Detective season 1 is awesome. Mari already watched it and recorded her reaction I think. But season 2 was total crap. Season 3 was decent but not memorable. Many YouTubers have reacted to season 1 but virtually NO ONE has reacted to season 2, probably because all their subscribers warned them not to do it because they knew a season 2 reaction would be an utter waste of time and money (and I don't think anyone would watch a season 2 reaction anyway). Just looking out for the channel is all.

What?? Better Call Saul is AMAZING. Many people even think it's even better than Breaking Bad. I think they're equal (making them tied for best show of all time) and I'd also argue that BCS is an even smarter show than Breaking Bad. And Mari is guaranteed to love it.

I loved how different a scene can look to people, I still can't help but laugh at Walter trying to kill himself, in a "poor baby"-kind of fashion. Great clumsy actor. Didn't you say you watched some Malcolm in the Middle? Here's a recommendation that's totally worth considering to offset BB

I would strong suggest that you reconsider your idea of watching alternate seasons... the sequel "Better Call Saul" has a lot of characters, storylines and plot twists that would not make full sense if not for the knowledge of Breaking Bad. Please let me know.

I don't think she was talking about alternating BB and Saul, if that's what you mean. I think Mary just wants to watch some other unrelated series alternate with BB, and then Saul after BB.

I've been waiting since I joined your patreon for you to watch Breaking Bad and I'm so excited the day is here! I would wait to decide on alternating with something else until you finish the season. You may want to keep going once you get there because every season keeps getting better, but I do understand the desire to take a break whether for variety or because it's too much. If it helps, seasons 1 and 2 go together well and seasons 3 and 4 even more so.

According to BREAKING BAD creator Vince Gillian, Jesse Pinkman was originally supposed to die in the desert during the climax of the pilot episode. He decided to change it so that he got knocked unconscious instead.

You can watch the prequel Better Call Saul without many spoilers to Breaking Bad since BB takes place after BCS. You could wait until you get to first encounter Saul in BB, but it really doesn't matter.

If you think BB is better than BCS then your love for that show is not for right reasons. Creative people can make as many equally good shows, as many possible.
