"No can do, grasshopper. This is my meditation time. I'm absorbing the cosmic energy of the universe, just like these plants."

"That's not how photosynthesis works, clown. All you're doin' is committing indecent exposure. Reckon I could sue for this."

"You're literally not wearing pants, you overgrown kangaroo rat!"

Bruce and Penny, as loving as always~

Their relationship is less antagonistic than the one between Bruce and Pandora, because these two never dated/had an ugly break-up. They actually get along somewhat decently, except for when Bruce is nagging Pen about some needed repair, or when Pen is poking her nose a little too far into Bruce's private life (Just what is going on between him and that dog buddy of his?). Penny scored a lot of brownie points with Bruce when she "gave" him the entire (brown, dying) roof garden to restore. Bruce goes about this task dutifully and surprisingly lovingly- up on the rooftop with his watering can and old lady sunhat is seriously his favorite place to be. Except when it's occupied by naked landladies. Go do your sunbathing somewhere else, Penny.

(Public "nudity" is not actually that big a deal in the world of Fuzzbutts, as unlike humans, most animals have their junk discreetly hidden away. But there are definitely situations where it's inappropriate, such as at a wedding. As Penny owns the property she's free to sunbathe on her own roof, but there's some grey area around a landlord being nekkid in front of tenants. Penny don't care, suck it up ya prude)

The gift of the roof garden may seem wildly generous, but Penny views it as dumping all that maintenance and labor on some chump willing to do it for free. Score!

I love this overgrown kangaroo rat disaster

Calling her a hack just doesn't seem to fit the context. Hack is usually used to describe a talentless writer, so it doesn't really fit the situation. I can't help thinking "dumbass" would fit better there.

lopoddity

Hmm, I disagree. Bruce is specifically insulting her level of competence, not her intelligence. While “hack” has it’s roots in writing, it is also used as a general insult toward any incompetent or mediocre professional. A doctor who amputates the wrong leg is a hack. A lawyer who accidentally incriminates their client is a hack. Penny is a hack of a landlord (or a heck of a landlord, as she’d argue)
