I'm almost done with the new physics code rewrite. This was a rewrite from almost the ground up to accommodate the new "full-physics" paradigm for Viva to ensure everything is physics. I still don't have much to show in this particular devpost but I can tell you about how it will work in-game from now on.

Up to this point, holding items in the game was done by parenting models to character's hands. This worked fine when characters weren't physics ragdolls. However because everything will now be driven by physics, objects will no longer be parented. Instead, they will be connected with physics joints. Joints do not require changes in the parental hierarchy like parenting does. It also allows me to set force limits on the joints. What this means is that it is now possible to slap/hit items out of the loli's hands and vice-versa. This worked particularly well for hats because now you can slap/hit hats off of her head. I really want to showcase this but it is not yet in a stable state. I am aiming to showcase in the next devpost with a beta following it.

I also lost a day of work due to the riots.

Stay tuned!
