Thanks Rob... great lesson. My instructor & I were improvising “Hey Joe” and this chord was perfect right before the “walk up”. Plus you added some spice I will use at the next lesson. Your lessons are very well done and informative. Keep up the good work.

Hi Rob! Beautiful rendition of "Leaving' on a Jet Plane". May I ask you what audio equipment you use in order to get such crystal clear sound (microphone, etc.)? I meet with a guitar group on Zoom, weekly, and my sound sometimes goes in and out. I have tried a Tonor USB microphone (plugged into my Mac) and just using my Mac's audio, but still having problems. Thank you for any advice you may have. -Linda Stone

Hi Rob, super lesson, do you use the Hendrix chord mainly as a 1? with a 3 and 4? Or with other chords?

swiftlessons

In blues rock, the Hendrix chord (AKA Dom7#9) it's generally used as the 1, but also the 5 chord occasionally. You'll notice in Pink Floyd's "Breath," Gilmour places it along side a dom7b9 chord to get back to the 1. Brilliant!
