Hello friends,

Welcome back to Swiftlessons for another lead guitar tutorial. In today's session I've broken down a soulful blues rock guitar lick and how to apply it over a 1.4.5 progression in the key of Amaj. Together we'll learn how visualizing chord positions and scale patterns can allow you to tranpose licks and tricks across the fretboard. Let's get started!

Great lesson Rob! Always great to create these licks around familiar chord shapes and famous boxes!

Melodic blues sound . I love this way of playing the blues.

I have always taught my guitar students to relate scales to chord positions. It just makes sense. This makes learning the fretboard easy. You should always know where the chord is at that you are playing over at any given time. You are a very good teacher..
