Thanks to your earlier lessons, I've been able to use the Travis Style in lots of songs here and in my original songs. This lesson was a great refresher. There's something about finger style that builds confidence as a player, even when you're just developing your chops like I am.

Got it! Any song recommendations in where I can apply this Travis style???

Congrats Luisa! Yes, I have lessons on The Boxer, and Hang Me Oh Hang Me. Both songs use a slightly upgraded version of this.

Ok the Boxer turned out to be kind of difficult. Can’t sing while playing with the Travis technique at the same time 😕 But with patience and practice I will conquer the song. I have been in this situation before😉

Yeah, everyone struggles with that... It really comes down to repeating the patterns and chord changes so many times that it becomes muscle memory. There's really no secret trick to being able to sing over complicated parts, just tons of patient, quality repetitions. Keep at it Luisa!

Thanks Blair, I'm planning a follow up for this lesson with some of my favorite variations to the pattern, so keep an eye out!

I agree, and can still remember getting the travis pattern down for the first time, it really makes you feel like you're making great progress. I'll have a follow up for this very soon, there's plenty of cool variations to this common pattern.
