Hello friends,

Today a quick lesson on how to find one of blues music's most popular soloing positions, BB's box! We'll begin this session with a brief demonstration over  a 12 bar blues in Emaj, then I'll show you two simple methods of accessing this power cluster of notes! Once you have the system down, we'll apply it to the key of G major for good measure. Shout out to my friend and student Mike for helping to inspire this tutorial. Enjoy your practice!

Rob, that's a pretty cool little guitar. What is it?

I want tabs for this..

swiftlessons

Thanks Andre, hoping this allows you to jump right into that position without hesitation. It’s always helpful to have landmarks.

way cool thanks working on that vibrato

swiftlessons

You’re welcome Mark! Yes, the vibrato is deceptively complex. The thing that a lot of folks miss is that the best players vibrato in time with the rhythm. Often times fast 32nd note modulations. So, think of the beat when you’re shaking that string. Have fun!

Gosh, Rob, you know how much I love this stuff. This lesson was really fascinating with so much to think about. I'll be watching again. Thanks for keeping the blues themes going and for giving some thought to my interest in a blues rhythms lesson. I'm sure you'll come up with something terrific. Have a great weekend.
