This is a very interesting development, as we are starting to see a new trend of jurisdictions treating mushrooms like they have been treating cannabis recently - very much open to reform and decriminalization. In this case it looks like mushrooms were almost "snuck in" to the cannabis legislation at the last minute! ;)

Magic mushrooms added to NJ's pot decriminalization plan

TRENTON - Hallucinogenic magic mushrooms were added to marijuana decriminalization legislation by a state Senate committee Thursday. The bill is scheduled to be considered Monday by the full Senate and Assembly, which would vote to send it to Gov. Phil Murphy.
