Video Update #14 - Cults, Cthulhu, and Consoles (Patreon)

I ended up coming down with a slight sickness since thursday, but luckily the only thing that stopped was my ability to record audio and I was able to surge ahead with the CoC video. It should be up at the usual time this coming Friday. Surprisingly, I haven't had any crazy visual bugs yet during the recording process which reminds me of when I played Shadow of Chernobyl without a single crash. I am recording a bit more of the game on the higher difficulty (it's one of those games that locks the difficulty until beating it) so it's possible I might still get something, but at this point I might be cursed to miss the most notorious bugs in games when I'm recording them. In any case, the video will likely be done mid-week or earlier so I can start immediately working on the Cultist Simulator video from there since that'll be getting its big update on Tuesday.

I'm hoping I don't get too lost. I only played a bit of it months ago, and it can get overwhelming and fast. I'll have some more details on that when I start diving into the project. 

I'm also beginning to seriously look at the console game video solutions. After collecting a pretty healthy amount of recommends for some console exclusives, I've begun the hunt for a capture device. However there are a TON of these out there, with functions ranging from recording absolutely everything from start to finish, to toggles, and other options I'm still trying to balance out. While the first console game video likely won't be until 2019, I'm going to be taking time in December to hopefully figure one of the devices out while I'm working on the "Making Review Videos" video. It's very possible that the "how to" video might be the only one in January, so I'll likely disable Patreon for that month. I know that's still a way's off, but something to note now for long term planners. 

So if you know of any particularly good capture cards to recommend, I'm all ears.
