Update #13 - Next Video Questions/Cultist Simulator & Pathologic Schedule (Patreon)

Call of Cthulhu DCOTE is coming along nicely. While I was aware there was another Call of Cthulhu titled game coming out, I didn't know it was at the end of this month until this week so the video is going to be a lot more topical than I expected. I'm expecting the video to be out next Friday, but I'll be taking the questions for it now in the case that I'm able to surge ahead and release it this coming Friday. There's surprisingly little to report for a game that's usually so notoriously buggy since GOG did an amazing job fixing it up. Even the "high framerate affecting movement" bug I was worried about wasn't an issue since fullscreen autolocks the fps to 60 to prevent it. All in all I've been pleasantly surprised!

The grain effect is maybe the one thing I wish could be toggled and any "fix" I did would only be partial, so it's not something I'm going to get into.

As for Cultist Simulator, there might be a slight change in scheduling for it. Their upcoming big patch/DLC comes out October 16th, and I don't want to go back into learning the mechanics if they end up changing how a lot works so I won't be able to record until then at minimum. If the CoC video is done this week, it would mean needing to sit on my thumbs for a while for that moment which wouldn't be productive. If that ends up being the case, I'll start recording for Pathologic and make that the focus before Cultist Simulator. Pathologic is certainly a long game especially with the different playable characters, so getting started on it earlier might be ideal. This will be dependent on how this week goes, but those two games are 100% the upcoming ones. What order they'll be in is the only thing up in the air. 

That's one of the perks of reviewing older games. No worries about patch scheduling.

Regardless, since Weather Factory gave me a review copy of Cultist Simulator a few months back there will be a giveaway for a copy of it on Patreon after the video for it. I'll likely end up buying the DLC myself, but after playing it myself I'll see about giving a copy of that bundled up with it. I'll have more details about that when I'm closer to release of the Cultist video.
